Very Rapidly: Why Does THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT Feel So Slow?
Wtf
I had the Klingon Wessel line when I did this.
And it's still better than anything put out by Jar Jar Abrams or Alex Kurtzman.
This experience was ride at universal studios park in partnership with paramount pictures? Did they have different versions so could pick which set want to play on from any movies before generations?
No. It was extremely templated. Ten minutes, in and out, the edit was already complete as you were doing it (i.e. the tiny little video moments they filmed "live" went straight into open spots in the preformatted footage from The Wrath of Khan). That's why the "Oh no!" after my Klingon Wessel line gets slightly cut off... they didn't even slide the footage around after the fact!
That was really cool and all these young kids get into it! 🤣🖖🏻
My parents did this, back in '89.
THe Klingon captain and the kid that tore off the klingon turtle head were my favs
Klingon wessel
Me and my friends did this. Still have the VHS tape. I was a Klingon and my two friends Enterprise bridge officers. I was so jealous.
Love it! 😂
THis was awesome. Thanks for sharing!
Lol. My uncle did this. He played a Klingon captain. I still remember his lines, 'Oh jimbo jaw,' and then he would burst into laughter.
I find your use of the word "literally" in the description to be... illogical. ;-) (Seriously, though... the way it's used as an emphasis word nowadays, instead of a word that distinguishes between literal and figurative statements, is irritating. I tried explaining it to a teenager a few weeks ago, and moments later he used it the wrong way again. Sigh.)
Language changes
Another me too ! When I did this, I was the Klingon getting electrocuted at 3:36 and my Wife one of the red shirts beamed down at 3:59. Gotta say - your Digital copy of an old VHS tape is far better than mine !
Jeez am I the only one who wasn’t a Klingon??
Nice! I did this back in 92. I did one of the Klingons that was attacked by the monster and at the very end.
lol. when i did this, i was the klingon that got vaporized.
Niiiiiice
One of my fondest memories, putting on the klingon uniform, standing there defiantly, and saying "no way dude"
The foam rocks were fun too but I couldn't keep a smile off my face lol
I did this with my family when I was a kid. Can’t find the tape anywhere!
must have been fun to do!
Oh it was a hoot. My only issue was not getting to spend more time in the uniform.
After seeing the first two episodes, I definitely want more of the alien pirates in TVC.
I think Brutus is a good bet
@ I agree. :-)
I collect for the love . If after I’m dead my family can get some money from them, wonderful ❤
No.
❤️
Been collecting since 1987 did it for myself just for the love and fun of hunting. In 95 when the line came back I started to pick them except some ships that I had already had. Ep 1 came picked everything same with ep 2 and 3 I continued till a couple of years ago now I often pick figs or ships that I don’t have but between 1978-2012 Got TVC figs that I keep in pack because of the classic look Some ships I keep them in boxes like 30th anniversary y-Wing since you can see the toy in the box. I mostly take them out of their package and I display them. I even have repro wespons on my vintage figs I don’t care I collect for myself Beside if Id try to sell either my old or new star wars toys people eill not put the price for it they will try to have them for a song I never expected to make money with my collection. I just subcribed greetings from 🇨🇦
welcome to the party! I’m in Toronto! 🇨🇦✊🏼
I tend to be like you, buying what I like and opening them for the shelf. I don't want them to go insane like The Prospector! 😂
I'm with you, I was, am still in this for myself. I collect because I have all my life. My plan is to donate my entire collection to Rancho Obi Wan. Never been in this for the money. Also, I collect both, open and sealed. 2 of everything, minimum.
So I own a large number of the original line up of Star Wars of various conditions. Some of them were burried outside in my backyard or under my front stairs for several weeks. So some in really rought shape. While there was one or two figures were pretty mint condition, having been bought as extra birthday presents that were never given away. I somehow got them ahold of them years after the fact and they hadn't been played very much. In the 90s when I was a poor college student, I came close to selling off figures to make some money. I was looking to sell both my old Star Wars and old G1 Transformers figures. For both sentimental reasons and lack of organization, I never got around to selling them. Now that I'm much old, I'm very thankful that I never sold them. Now I have a 9 year old daughter who love Star Wars and plays with my old figures. I get a lot more enjoyment seeing her play with my old toys than whatever the extra money I could have made selling them. I'm always one to throw away the card or box and put the toy on display. Some times I might keep a box if there's a lot of extra pieces and it's a figure that comes out occassionally. I have some seasonal figures that might come out for Halloween or Christmas. However, keeping the box is more about keeping all the pieces together and being able to find it easily rather than value. Speaking of season figures, the Star Wars Droid Factory Advent Calendar is an absolute joy. I'll get rid of that box at the end of the month but once all of those figures are built, I'll put them out just for Christmas and then put them away with other Christmas decorations.
I totally agree with your 'vision' - I do similar things - it's all head cannon! Much more fun than just recreating scenes from the films -that always seemed boring and lacking imagination to me. Can look cool to do a Hoth set up - but I find army building quite a strange affliction. Although my quest to collect every different version of Clone troopers ever released could be seen as strange :D
I used to have a similar quest... 😂
@@tederickbear virtually impossible of course - but you got to have a dream :D
They need to update the old saga X wing with this style of engineering
I don’t have the Red-5, do you? I assumed the same mechanics were in that one.
@tederickbear I have red leader, red 2 red 3 and red 5 actually I have mutilple copies of that mold. And sadly it's like a leaver on the back that you pull down and flick into the corner to have the S foils open up... so it's a bit flimsy.... this mechanism is far better
@@ThePhoenixrider89 Ah gotcha. I'm surprised at that! Thanks for letting me know.
In a really big box , for the last couple years ! I will bring them all out for a day or two then pack them away .
Awwww. Well, at least they get a few days in the sun
I like it 👍 i do something similar with mine. One big party 🤘🏼
Nice!
I will be genuinely shocked if we get the whole Skeleton Crew in TVC. That figure is pretty good though so they have a good starting point. 🤞
Yeah, me too. 😞 But holding out hope
Hello there, as I was not a fan of the acolyte, just not very well done in my opinion, im not adding those figures to my collection. They are very well done figures, and for hiw you set your collection up, they will make good additions.
Hello there, love what you've done. At this moment in time i set up my collection in scenes but the idea of the themed assortment of characters is very cool. I have lots of, well, multiples of lots of characters and I have one spot in my collection that is, at the time I started setting it up was for, extras. My overflow as I've titled it. Extras, multiples and what not but I think in time i may do more of that idea because it, to me, is very much a What If type thing. I purchased 2 deluxe Cantina sets and plan on haveing several alcoves with non STAR WARS figures, GI JOE, Indiana Jones and such. Your set up is very cool and inspired me to do the same in time, at some point. Thanks for sharing and May the Force Be with You.
Two Cantinas!! Good for you. I skipped that one (and the Ghost, sadly) because I'm flat out of space. I love the "What If" premise!
Sorry to hear you had to skip in the last 2 Haslabs. I always get 2, minimum, of everything. To be honest, I purchased 5 Cantinas in total because I wanted 4 of each figure. That being said, I will be selling the remaining 3, minus the figures, if you are interested in getting one. I will not be upping the price, 2 deluxe and 1 basic for original prices, again, minus the figures. Of the 5 I'm keeping 4 sets and selling 1 set for asking prices, which I realize will be outrageous but I also realize that there are people who will pay that price for them so I figured what the hell.
@@Danikin13 5 total! Wow! I appreciate the offer but I'm good to stand pat on this one. Hoping there's something fun I can go in on next year.
@tederickbear you are welcome.
Good choices! Voted w you on Arliel and Luthen. My others included Threepio, Anakin, Ventress. A fun process!
Wow. Great list. Loved Andor. Brasso! Syril! Kino! Yes! Also agree that Rise was not done right in TVC. Like you, I also bought the sixer Bix!
This is really cool! Wish we had gotten a few more Andor figs in TVC. Such a great show. Congratulations on this pick up!
Wasn’t a big fan of the show but this is an outstanding toy. Really strong! I need to break mine out of her plastic shell!
You should, she’s great. I might pick up another and customize her “civilian poncho” look.
Cool fig. Agree on the hair and likeness. Funny story! Wish they would just use a standard sized card. (Since I collect carded and loose.) cheers
Love this! I’ve never seen something quite like this. Skiff of Lukes and Rose’s Rebels! So great. Personally, I have some battle setups from the movies/ shows. Endor. Hoth. Naboo. Etc. And some other locations that are pretty straightforward. Cloud City. Cantina. Jabba’s Palace. But I put extra figures into almost every environment. My current cantina has Guardians of the Galaxy figures and many other oddball characters. I have an Ace Frehley playing with the band and Sinatra singing. (He’s actually a zero POA Christmas ornament but it works. Quite a nice sculpt!). Recently added a lot of other old figures from other lines to my Kenner display. Stuff like Mork, Battlestar Galactica figs, retro Terminator etc. Totally agree that figs should be fun!
Cool! I definitely have some non-Star Wars guys in my displays too (Dark Crystal, Back to the Future, Willow…)
Lol ! That's cool ! I like your display .
❤ Thanks for watching!
i love how you have your figures. its different and cool ❤
Thanks, I'm glad you like it!
The vast majority of my Star Wars Vintage figures collection has been taken over by my now 9 year old daughter. The figures that my daughter hasn't taken are displayed in my office are all mixed together from different kinds of collections. I have some Vintage figures, some Black Series, a couple Star Wars The Bounty Collection, a couple of figures from the Disney Infinity games (those were some nice sculps) and even a couple of Lego Brickheadz with some Lego Mini-figs. Also a bunch of Ahsoka Funko pops. I also have the Lego Ghost ship, which I got as the HasLab was way too expensive. I have a few more Star Wars Lego vehicles but I haven't had the time to put them together. I'll put similar characters together no matter the scale so say Omega together with Tech and Ashoka with Obi-Wan, etc. However, I also have a bunch of Droids together from different eras because it's fun to put droids together. Then add a Cyberman and couple of Transformers with the droids because why not.
I should really put my (Black Series) Omega in my (Vintage Collection) Throne Room and just let her loom
But, is she OSHA certified?
Sadly, as a Canadian, I had to google this joke
I'm disappointed that Hasbro or any other toy company didn't make a large Pip Droid toy. The ones that come with the figures are just too small. I know LucasFilm holds back toylines to avoid spoilers. However, at this point it's obvious that the new Star Wars show will include a new cute Droid. That they would benefit with it launching droid toys closer to when the show comes out and if their design leaks out a bit early it's not going to hurt the show.
Yeah that would have been sweet. I think they got pretty badly burned on Lola from Obi-wan (*still* on clearance at Toys R Us) so maybe they’re droid shy right now.
@@tederickbear I think the problem with Lola toys was the Obi-wan series came out in May 2022 and Lola didn't come out until late fall 2022. It's a problem that a lot of Star Wars toys and figures have is that they don't come out until months or in some cases over a year after the TV series. For some adult collectors that's fine but part of the audience is kids and they have moved into something else in that time gap. Also the other problem with Lola and Star Wars droids toys in general is too many versions. I think there were 3 versions of Lola, with different levels of interaction and it was hard to figure out the differences between them. I couldn't tell how they were different in the stores and the marketing didn't do a good job explaining it. I had to search and find reviews that had the multiple versions together to explain how they were different.
@@MatthewFabb You are correct in all regards here. Lucasfilm needs to stop holding key product back from Hasbro so that toys hit shelves during the marketing peak, not months (or years... hello Stranger helmet??) later.
This looks like a great figure, i am still waiting for him over here in the UK. I did the same with my Hot Toys version, i sold it on, something was really off about it. Thank you for your review.
Hey, thanks for watching!
I just got mine - Hasbro knocked it out of the park with him.
May Shin and Baylon be so excellent.
Still haven’t seen these in my neck of the woods. Can’t wait to pick them up!
lol!😆🤣🤣Man I love your reviews so far. Just have fun with your toys! Love it !
They're toys!! For fun!! 😜
Thought about picking one of these up to customize for vintage collection. Just enjoy the toys, right
