Idk if you're using hook grip. Use straps and hook grip and warm up with regular grip
Try 300 not 305. 5 lbs at a time. 2.5 lb weights.
67 years old. Cleared 295 lb deadlift last week. At 300 lb fully lift it up but not able to totally straighten my back, so maybe another week or two trying. Legs okay, but back not as strong. Or, lift so slow at that point, just start losing my grip is better explanation.
@donaldkasper8346 Sounds like we are at about the same weight! I got up 300lb a few days, but also couldn't quite lock out with the weight!
@@jacobkeeney7971 Slows down so much if I made a mistake and have two overhand grips, bar will start sliding out of my hand.
@@jacobkeeney7971 Best is to wait 3 days, but I can do 295 every day for one. Probably could do two.
@@jacobkeeney7971 Up to 300 always had problems with the lift, not my back straightening out. Now some claim this is a flaw from not having your back straight at the start of the lift, but I think I do and hips just not pushing forward.
@@donaldkasper8346 yea, a bit of rounding seems to be acceptable these days.
Good job mate. Word of advice: keep your arms straight when standing up, it'll prevent bicep injuries.
