At times moody and emotional, at times downright eerie, mysterious, and slightly subversive, Pleasure People “is” both difficult to categorize and immediately recognizable due to Nick's unusual guitar tunings and the inclusion of varying instrumentation on cello, mandolin, banjo, banjolele , bass, and drums. You'll find elements of two-steppin' Americana and bluegrass interspersed with quiet musings on dark family matters, skid-mounted love, and half-haunted houses, performed by as few as Nick Cantine on solo guitar up to the full six-piece band.
