Is it true that GE Patterson wasn’t fond of Bishop Ford because he tried to undo Bishop JO Patterson’s (his uncle) work? I do know that LH Ford wasn’t big on the pomp and circumstance and Catholic robes of the COGIC.

I will never forget my Bishop Ford! He saved my mothers life and took her under his wing! And I am the woman I am because of his teachings!

I think this story in its full length and detail, should be told, promoted, committed to modern film and shown much more often.. I grew up in COGIC and Bishop Ford was likely the most successful Bishop who came after founder Bishop Mason. Many thanks to his grandson for producing and sharing this amazing story..!

Thank you for this wonderful tribute to one of Chicago's most influential men of the 20th century. Our city is a much better place because of the decades he spent here giving a voice to the voiceless. I'm sorry that I never had a chance to meet him, but am proud that we share May 23rd as our birthday.

my FAVORITE Presiding Bishop...I was honored to meet him twice and take pics with him each time. He had time to stop and take a pic with me at my First Holy Convocation back in the early 90's. And during a youth congress in Chicago! What a warrior!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He came to our State Convacation when I was in middle school and I met him, and he just had a godly spirit on him. I loved this man of god. Will always be my favorite Bishop. RIP

I never knew Bishop Ford, but I have been watching some of his videos on youtube the last 2 weeks, and I can feel the Holy Ghost when he preachers or talks, I've become very fond of Bishop Ford since I started watching his videos posted on youtube, indeed a Great man of God!! wonderful Jesus!!!

This was so awesome and I'm so proud to have had this great man of God be our leader.... This needs to be on Facebook and there needs to be a Facebook page dedicated to his Legacy, does anyone know the name or the contact person of his grandson who made this page or this documentary

This needs to be shown everywhere.. I wonder how many students of COGIC history know the magnitude of this man... I didnt until now.. For instance I knew of Bishop Ford as one of our Presiding Bishops but I did not know his connection to Emmet Till.... or any of his accolades.. He was a great man... God Bless Bishop Ford....
