Hey, don't blame you, wouldn't want to give up my spots. In the fall or spring to me is the best fishing. Try some time, buy a tent that puts itself up. Eat a big dinner the night before. Drive down, take some snacks, stay at the primitive camp ground, you'll feel better that day and not a long drive in the morning. When you wake up your ready to go, its great feeling. The marina opens early, was around 5 or 6. Another note, when you get back to the marina, I would take a shower before the long drive home. Cold water showers at the camp ground, hot water showers at the marina. The person at the gas pump has a key for the hot showers. Thank GOD H.S.Truman made that place a national park. Other wise it would look like Miami.
