People who think any of them ever hated the other one has no clue what hatred actually means, no sense of rivalry and also they completely ignore the fact that they were kids. Kageyama's disrespectful attitude at times never meant he hated anyone. Neither did any of Tsukki's taunt ever meant malice.

Wow. Kind of surprised that there are some (if not a lot) of people who dislike Oikawa. Well for me I kind of relate to him because I’m competitive and I really hate losing. Especially when you know that you gave it your all yet you were still surpassed by someone. Yes, he attempted to slap Kageyama but I think that scene just shows how frustrated and pressured Oikawa is. Anyway, for me Haikyuu is one of those anime where you really appreciate EVERY character. That’s just how great this anime is and that’s why it’s one of my favorites 😊

Its literally a big brother little brother rivalry. As the big brother you are always one step ahead but you see your little bro there who has higher potential then you, and know one day, they will realize it, and it kinda pisses you off, but at the end of the day, you still love one another.

At first I really disliked Oikawa but the more I got to now him the moreI started loving him and I know how he feels he had to train his whole life to be as talented as those who were gifted , he was really nervous about losing his position since he loves wining and is competitive asf ( honestly I can relate to him ) as for Kageyama , I don't think they hate each other I just think that this is a way of them testing each other . they admire each other abilities and strength , volleyball is a competitive game after all :)

kageyama used to looked so amazed by oikawa, everytime he sees oikawa, his eyes is full of sparkle and he really adored oikawa. now he looked at oikawa with an emotional gaze, intense and full of anger but deep down he always adore him like he used to.
