IMO, we have so much brains cells and she is blind and deaf, that means that a big part of her brain (probably the one that processes hearing and seeing) is not being used, so she can probably process information way quicker and efficiently instead of focusing on these two senses’ viewpoint. also she rarely retain any information in her day-to-day life so when she new a small way of communication (hand gestures) at 7, communication was probably the only fun activity for her. fast forward to 9 years old (that’s F-ing 730 days of not seeing and hearing) she learned to talk and lip read (her version of school), + 2 years she learns braille literature and writing braille. +11 YEARS of knowing and learning braille and probably real letters too, she wrote a book. Then When she flew a plane she was 66 YEARS OLD ( that’s a lot of years of learning through braille and communication) and had a pilot with her translator showing how to and what was going on visually, the flight was 20 minutes long and the pilot was guiding her through it wile the translater was repeating it through sign language. keep in mind that she is probably really coordinated with her sense of touch and her balance. So in general I think that she had a huge life to begin with and had many many years of learning stuff and improving herself
