One place that never gets mentioned in these “top places to see in California” is Lassen Volcanic National Park. It is very beautiful, much less crowded and has lots of fun pyrotechnics like bubbling mud pots and sulphur works. It is a live volcano that could erupt any time, but hasn’t in a very long time. If you are thinking about a “road trip” type trip I highly recommend it. Check it out and you will see!

I don't get the appeal of Joshua Tree (or Death Valley). If the similar landscape of Arches is a 10 (which it is because of adjacent sites, e.g., Canyonlands), Joshua Tree is a 1. Snooze-a-roonie.

Oh Santa Monica is terrible. Its dirty, holess and drug attacks all over the pier and the beach. Just as bad as San Francisco 😂

There are some Terrible suggestions in here. Beyween Road Closures on HWY 1, being robbed in San Francisco, car broken into, the town smells like urine - terrible place to go. Yosemitie is expensive and lots of traffic. Joshua Tree is not Dog Friends or most desert parks in so cal. L.A is dirty, lots of crime and car break ins. Redwoods are the best part of the video.

Unfortunately, since this video was made, property values, rents, the population, and traffic have gotten out of control.

Don't forget St.Paul Minnesota. The transit is extremely unsafe to ride such as their Light Rail System. The area around Como Park is unsafe 24-7! Very high crime there. I wouldn't even feel safe going to the Como Park Zoo!!!! The area around South Snelling Avenue the 400 block where I use to have a friend is now crime infested. I wouldn't feel safe even driving through there. He lived in the 400 block once a nice neighborhood he and his family was forced to move out in the late 1970s because of increased crimes.
