When you calculate the midpoint for emergency purposes, is it based on time due to the jet stream? For example, going to the mainland the midpoint might be closer to Hawaii since there is a tailwind and turning around would result in a headwind.
Correct, the ETP (Equal Time Point) is calculated using forecasted winds aloft data among a few other things.
