In this video I talk about the food and entertainment on the ship. I had heard lots of negative things about the food prior to cruising MSC but I hadn't heard much one...
I wouldn’t say MSC is terrible…but it CAN be weird, as most of the more inexpensive lines can be. I liked it a whole lot better than Carnival, and will be going on my 3rd MSC cruise to Key West in November. Can’t wait!! You just have to know what you like and what you want to do. We always love the buffet. Take what works and leave the rest!
Bring along a good extension cord - it helps! And yeah, by the looks of it you likely got an obstructed view cabin.
How is a black out card in 45 calls impossible? There are 24 numbers on a bingo card.
Probability wise, the minimum to achieve blackout is 50. They know what they are doing but setting the limit to 45. Google bingo blackout probability to learn more (thats how I learned).
There's actually still only a 0.00000471508113370243 chance of winning blackout on the 50th call.
@@haleyishuman I'll have to research that. I'm a numbers geek. The minimum should be 24 but maybe I'm missing something.
@@haleyishuman did some research. The Average number of calls is 47, not the minimum. It can be as little as 24 but that would be astronomical of course. Setting the biggest prize at 45 makes sense. Odds are always in the houses favor in any gambling scenario.
@@johndaigneault9585 I'm no smartie when it comes to math :D but I will defend my critique. They didn't advertise this as blackout bingo. There were other people upset too. To push the jackpot into such low probability it really is nearly impossible to win. I think most people expect that what people put into bingo to be dispersed at maybe a 30-50% rate. MSC kept 95-99% of what the players put in, which is why I stand behind my comments of this being a slanted or "scammy" game. But I respect your opinion and appreciate the conversation :) If you feel otherwise let me know!

I got the free upgrade from Interior to balcony and I did not see any lifeboats, I agree, you had an obstructed view.

Quick suggestion, put your laptop on top of a box to raise it up so you are not looking down on it, you want to be looking straight on or up a little and don't touch the desk that it is sitting on because in you video it was shaking a whole bunch. Forgive me but I work in broadcasting and I regularly have to set up guests for on air appearances and that is the same spiel I give to all of them. Now to the cruise, I just took the same boat in Aug 24, we had a different cruise director but the faces of the entertainers are the same. I agree the shows were great and you missed a great circus show for sure. I agree about the buffet, the pizza was a welcome respite from the rest of the food. I did however enjoy the dining room food much more, the osso bucco and the chix parm on Italian night, the strip steak, the coq a van were all excellent. The island was the best and made the whole thing worth it, plus they upgraded me from my $199 interior to a balcony for free. I see you are travelling on the Reflection, I thought the ship was a lot more thought out in many ways, comfortable loungers instead of the horrid loungers on the Magnifica. A live band on the shows and the buffet and dining room ticked all the boxes every time. The only downfall was the crappy shore excursion in Nassau to visit the pigs, the pigs were adorable but PEARL island was a complete dump despite the scenic aerial video promoting it.

I went on MSC cruises and I will never go back again they were the worst from the food to the service to the shows forget about it I ain't going back no way
That cabin balcony view was unobstructed. Having a lifeboat below you doesn't obstruct the view at all unless you want to look straight down the side of the ship. You can look out from the ship and see the horizon. The cabin below you is definitely obstructed. The moving of your excursion and lack of communication is not acceptable without some sort of compensation kicked back to you. Gambling is always a scam whether on sea or land. Try Royal or NCL. They have more experience with American customers and our demands and I think you'll be more pleased overall. If you want a real experience, try Virgin. Good luck with your future cruises and videos.
Hey James, thank you for your responses! I appreciate your input about the obstructed view -- that makes a lot of sense :) I agree re: Excursion. So crazy. A few people didn't show up. Maybe they didn't even know it got moved or had another excursion to attend in Nassau.. I have two booked in the future... a november cruise on Princess and a May 2025 cruise on Celebrity. You are so wrong about the buffet.. Their buffet is always supplied with everything you you w t to eat. Nonetheless, if you Ws t gelato Ice Cream, you need to go to the 5 level...

@@haleyishuman I always tell naysayers you have to try it once but beware….if you love it you’re done! Lol! Every penny you have goes to cruising but you will love it! We’re doing our first Princess next March. This Nov, our first Holland America. 3 weeks ago we did our first Celebrity and it was AAAAMAZING!

I bet it will be. Just remember that this is a cheaper cruise so don't expect lots of bells and whistles. Despite that, the ship is still extremely glamorous, I think you'll be blown away. It's a very nice ship especially for the price. I hope my review didn't scare you. Overall I had a great time. I hope you follow up on this comment with your thoughts once you return. Enjoy!

Despite the shortcomings, I knew I loved cruising! Being on the water was so magical, as was pulling into a new port everyday! I booked a cruise with Princess for November and Celebrity for next May. I'll be vlogging both of those. Never sailing MSC again unless the price is really good. Definitely never sailing the Magnifica again even if it were free, though.
