No, it was all good. He was coming up behind a lot faster and I was drifting a wee bit to the right. A big speed differential between a 4 cylinder sports bike and a 650 twin (which is why I always try to brake dead straight here). He saw what was happening but had to let off the brakes to get round me.

Yep, both got back out and going as quick as ever in the afternoon.

Good to be back :-) First ride of any motorbike in 18 months - so you could say I was a little rusty. 4.5 seconds off my best - and as you know that wasn’t very quick to start with!

It was fun to do - although I had to watch the races later to worl out what had gone on ..

They are always spectacular, but usually sideways rather than vertically!
