I'm struggling to see how you can have a pro human point and also the pro agent approach. We live in a capitalist society, the vast majority of companies will use the next version of OAI's LLM to replace employees to provide better returns to their investors. The only pro human approach there is for a select few that remain, which could also eventually be replaced with more advanced versions. Maybe you can touch on this during next weeks video.

When Yann LeCun says that current LLMs won't reach human intelligence, he's 100% correct. It's like expecting SQL server to understand the data your query returned. Let me expand on that. The prompt you give it, is like the query you send to the database to return your data. The better you write the prompt/query, the better the results you get back. The LLM isn't predicting anything about it's results, it's picking the next word that has the highest probability of following the previous word based on what you asked it in the prompt and what it was trained on. That's why you get better results when they use the synthetic (cleaned up) data vs all the junk that's on the internet. The LLM doesn't understand or even know what it's returning. To get to AGI, it actually needs to know and understand the results. This is possibly where Q*/Strawberry comes in. It's possible that it might have this understanding that is needed and it's also possible that it's just getting better results and still not understanding anything. If it's the later, then the best these systems will ever get is good at agents but nothing else. They can be the interface of future systems that have functionality like the human brain. In the latest video from the AI Explained channel (ruclips.net/video/Tf1nooXtUHE/видео.html), he talks about a new test that he's developing for LLMs much like the MMLU and others that are used to benchmark these language models. His results confirms that I've suspected for a long time and that is that these companies are including the questions in their training data so they get higher scores. It's the only logical outcome since his results that uses similar structured questions get far lower results.
