Is this the Norm Ruthenbeck who, for a time, was the principal of the Lutheran School in Fairmont, MN? The school would have been near Immaunel Lutheran Chuch in Fairmont. I went to this school from 3rd grade until 6th grade. My parents, especially my mother, felt that Norm Ruthenbeck understood me better than any one.
I believe you might be thinking of Norm's uncle, Hilbert Ruthenbeck. He was a principal at Fairmont during that time. I'm so glad to hear that he had a positive impact on your life!

Your message on loneliness was especially meaningful to me today. I appreciated becoming aware of the number of people who experienced loneliness in Scripture. Just remembering that the Lord is by my side giving me His strength gives me His comfort and peace.

A good reminder to task oriented people like me. Margin these days is the gift of two toddler grandchildren. My memory from last week was rolling down a grassy hill to the delight of a toddler who had his hands extended ready to “catch” grandma at the bottom of the hill.
