    Hi I got my top teeth done all on 4 .They sent the photos off to the lab and my tempory denture arrived with the 12 teeth on it. However the fit was horrible I had to get the dentist to get it out .he said the teeth were too proud so he filed it down from digging into my top gum.. 5 times he shaved that bulky denture down before it got any way near comfortable. He said the tempory denture is there to be reshaped and tweaked to feel correct in my mouth before it gets sent back to the lab for the final analysis made with titanium to fit me like a glove... I'm very frightened incase hes telling me a pile of shit to cover his arse over initial mistakes he made when scanning scanning my original gum shape with all those photos he took in the begining.. Has anybody experienced this or am I the only sucker in town. It's been 3 weeks and still I feel unhappy when eating I can feel food getting under my top lip and despite brushing and spilling with mouthwash i wanna take them out and scrub them clean but they are screwed in. I've been told to buy a water flosser and flush trapped food out with it. I would love someones support to tell me if they felt the same after receiving all on 4. God knows wot the finished titanium set is gonna feel like .This temporary denture was so bulky and and uncomfortable I cant get get an answere except it takes time getting used to it so let's take it out and shave and polish it even more until it feels more comfortable. Is this a common procedure or am i being fobbed off. Who else could check this fellas work so far does anyone know where to go for a second opinion. Thanks guys Bobby thanks for reading my predicament any replies are appreciated

    Why are those arches half finished? Literally not stained or characterized lingually? No pink lingually? This is completely half ass artistry and would never fly at an actual lab. Someone hired their plumber brother from ohio and taught him dental tech job with zero dental tech experience teaching another with zero dental technician experience. Hence the product being completely half ass and generically done vs an actual real dental laboratory creating the arch. Esthetically two very different outcomes. Guarantee if this Dr had to have this procedure done to himself or a family member, he would characterize and add pink lingually and not leave it half ass. But for his patients... half assery!!!

    So what option might be available if I want the all on 4-6 implants but do need something to go up higher so that the gumline doesn't show and my upper lip doesn't appear caved in as it does when with the temporary dentures now. Much worse than than prior to extractions . The answer they came up with was to squeeze another line of material or reline on top and it does help a little but looks ridiculous when I smile!! I would REALLY appreciate any suggestions. I would rather not have an overdenture if at all possible since bone loss is an issue.

      That's because it varies so much case by case . I just finished, and it was 52,000, but I had to have bone grafting as I'd been in dentures since I was 28 & did upper and lower. There really are so many variables so you can't expect this dr to give prices. Before any negative comments, I'd like to add that I've waited many years due to finances, we waited until we could borrow against our home. It was that important to me as it was really affecting my health.

    Complete denture supported with imlants, the major disadvantage of implant fixture, its configuration ,root direction, size, is quite different from natural teeth, without periodontal membrane like natural root, and born to be designed bio-engineering to resist vertical occlusal force. So in clinical situation, fixtures is susceptible to non axial occlusal force, easy to lead to chronic progressive bone destruction around fixture, with ending moveable failing denture. Lots of literatures revealed late biological and bio-mechanical complications, like peri-implantitis implant screw fracture and crown bridge loss. Contrary to conventional complete denture ,with BPS suction- effective technique, is quite stable retentive comfortable to use, without phonetic and food trap problem in dental implant fixed ALL-on-four denture. so many people do not realized.

    Dentists are pushing implants...which are not that great...most dentists nowadays are very mercenary...hard to find one that truly has your best health at heart. they all seem to want big bucks.

    • @maemae1752
      @maemae1752 7 месяцев назад

      This is so true, it isn’t the best option but it is the easiest for the dentist and the most lucrative. The best example I have heard if was an implant dentist doing this work trying to do a different and more complex version for his own father (three on six), if the all on4 was so great why would he have chose the other version for his own father? Rarely will a dentist put his clients needs first, just like doctors, they loose sight of why they wanted to do this work in the first place and slowly $ and time become their first priorities. Like this guy, he will only talk about what he does and he won’t mention the other options, that are out there, despite the fact that they are far more natural looking, more comfortable and far more aesthetically pleasing, because he doesn’t do that more difficult work and his profit is in what he does and he won’t put the patients interest before his own. Personally if I was in an industry and I knew there was a newer and more successful technology available, I would do everything I could to be able to offer that product. I’m sure it isn’t easy to change your tooling etc but how do you go in offering a sub optimal product to your customers especially when it’s something which impacts their lives on such a deep level. Three on six, and it’s usually cheaper 😳

    • @FerociousPancake888
      @FerociousPancake888 6 месяцев назад

      What are you even talking about? Yes implants are absolutely “that great.” If you don’t get an implant and leave the space where your tooth was, your bone will start to resorb and it will start tilting the adjacent teeth inwards. Ignoring a tooth that needs an implant is going to cause more issues down the line which results in more procedures and higher cost. Implants are the best treatment we have, which is why dentists push implants…. Inform yourself of these situations before passing judgement….. if you want to be mad at anyone be mad at insurance companies who to this day have a $2-4K yearly maximum and refuse to cover implants because they claim they’re cosmetic despite decades of research and data proving very much otherwise.

    • @FerociousPancake888
      @FerociousPancake888 6 месяцев назад

      @@maemae1752I have quite literally never experienced anything like what you just talked about. (Insurance companies themselves though are an entirely different situation and they only care about money, that much is very true.) In terms of the father situation, everyone is different and needs their own treatment plan. It’s incredibly offensive and honestly just misinformed to pass such judgment against people who quite literally spend their entire lives studying and at times work 80-100+ hours a week so when your husband, wife, father, mother gets to come home at the end of the day because something happened to them, or that you can have 100% of your bite force back after you lost all your teeth due to genetics. Your whole take is a take of someone who is misinformed and pretty dense.

    Hello there, I've contacted you because your world class clinic seems to offer higher end treatment and patient respect.. Please advise me as I am concerned with the final payment of the location I've chosen.. I've been in treatment for 5 months for a full mouth(all on 6) zirconia prosthesis install, and have already paid a fortune for resin fittings.. that still break :/ Now I'm asked to pay the final $20.000 Should my final payment be made before the Zirconia racks are done and installed or after they have been made and fitted? What is the obligation to make sure the job is done right if paid before completion?.. I am from Canada but went to Brazil for this procedure. At 49, I'm reaching out because I am super worried to be taken advantage of as these are my life savings and biggest investment for my well being in my life. Would you be so kind as to share with me your ethical procedure for when my final instalment should be made please? Thank you for taking the time to help me. Cordially, Gaël.

    The big difference between fixed and snap in dentures besides cost is that the patient with fixed has to go back to the dentist for removal and cleanings while snap in the patient can clean them on a regular bases at home with no cost.Ridge shrinkage depends on the patient.Some have a lot after only a few years while others have very healthy ridges after 20 years plus wearing dentures.

    • @jirotrom
      @jirotrom 8 месяцев назад

      Incorrect you still need to go and get cleanings and maintenance. On top of that you need to reline snap in dentures at least once a year because lack of doing so can cause implant failure. You also need to change your locator/snap in inserts once a year as they lose strength. All of these things cost time and money. A fixed prosthetic only needs to be taken off for cleaning if hygiene instructions aren’t being followed properly or a problem can be seen with one or more of the implants that makes it necessary to take it off.

    • @larrystradeski8261
      @larrystradeski8261 8 месяцев назад

      @@jirotromI don't know where you get your information from but I'm a Dental tech with 50years experience.We do a lot of snap in dentures and the patient is able to remove the denture and clean them themselves.They can clean their gums regularly with a soft brush.The inserts don't have to be change regularly only when needed.We don't charge for that.Relines don't have to be done every year only when needed and unlike fixed dentures the implants for snap in dentures are MOSTLY FOR RETENTION and the denture themselves obsorb most of the forces as they are tissue bearing.Dentists Recommend having having fixed dentures removed and cleaned at least once a year preferably twice a year.Cleaning with a water pick does not clean everything.

    Over time the 'rubbery bits' need to be replaced. HA! Sometimes that can be 10 years. The 'rubbery bits' can be replaced at home and costs a few dollars/pounds or even pennies. Good grief. There isn't much to distinguish screwed in prosthetics from click in versions. Just screws, or no screws. Click in versions are FAR better where hygiene is concerned and home maintenance becomes very easy. Otherwise, no difference to speak of or make a thing about.

Yeah Mouthwash! She couldn’t even get to my implants very well. I spent more time on getting suction for mouth wash than anything else. The past week or so, my tongue feels like I’ve burned it with super hot cheese pizza. Imagine that not really going away. I’m going to call my regular dentist to make an appt ASAP.
