i lost my voice halfway through the run excellent run overall, not much to say other than the fact that throne may have been a bit slow, and that gravitude, yellow station and intimidator were pretty sketchy (even tho i got big skip and thats pog) sub 17 really seems doable with some practise streamed live on my twitch: twitch.tv/snowflav_

considering at no point i wanted to fucking shoot myself like i usually do when playing this level i'd say it went pretty well a few very minor mistakes and optimisations possible, i could totally do 1:31 or even 1:30 if 2nd booth didn't suck

I have no idea what TAS is although it's explained in the description, or whatever any of the rest of it means, but I'm an SSX Tricky baby and never got to play SSX 3 so this is real cool to watch. Gunna have to download the HD texture for the emulator and give it a go!

Ahh Yes, the 44 gates of Hell. I was able to do the 2nd mission in 3 minutes and 30 seconds. This one though? Forget about it. Lol

how do you do that tech when you tilt down a slope to keep the 120 km/h speed? is that tas only or can humans do it?
it's really just as you described it, you just tilt the board at a specific angle and you slide along the ground. it's very much doable by humans but it becomes TAS only/nearly impossible when you need to do tiny ajustments to keep sliding when the ground's curvature changes. for the angle i suggest fiddling around yourself and mimicking what it looks like, but generally you do diagonal down + the direction you're facing

i made this run on dolphin emulator, you can upscale the resolution with it so i upscaled it to 1440p

You mean the monster tricks? Nah they're an intended game mechanic, it's hidden a little but doing very specific tricks gives you a point bonus of 10k, 20k or 30k depending on the trick

What does TAS mean?
Tool Assisted Speedrun. Essentially, they're playing the game frame-by-frame with perfect information about the game state, which allows them to play *literally* perfectly. TAS are used to demonstrate the theoretical maximum limit of speedruns and showcase techniques, routes, and skips that would be impractical to show using human-only playthrough. Some tricks are possible but extremely difficult ("Perform 60 frame-perfect inputs in a row"), though some are beyond human limit ("Push the A button every frame in a 60FPS game").
