Are they even trying? How cant they shift the box on the PK? These are pros? Pro coaches? No wonder they dont translate as well into the NHL. JP if he played full out. Could be a one man team almost.
The rinks are WAY bigger over there, so defenders look worse and stuff. The game is also obviously slower because of the size difference. In reality this league is a lot better than you realise.

In the 2019 World championship Finland won the tournament with a team that was made almost entirely of Liiga players. They beat Sweden, Russia and Canada who were all almost full of NHLers.

I think Tipp is going to turn this kid into a superstar. He's got hands, speed, an accurate shot and he's a big boy (6'4, 201 lbs).

True. He plays well in liiga but when the games get tougher he disappears. He's played with finland national team in friendly games where skill cap is bit higher and he struggles there hard

@@liveslowlivesimple It's true that the defence is weaker, compared to NHL's. But I assume you failed to acknowledge the massive size difference of the rink. It's way bigger in Europe (especially in Puljujärvi's home arena which I believe is the biggest in Finland), thus making defenders jobs way harder.
