I found this thing on like Vkontakte or something, because someone sourced the promotional material on Joel's/BMS site and i literally didn't see this song anywhere else back in the day it's been 9 years holy shit
@@gidioter i think this version could be very well mixed, like calm parts before they open the door for you, like you expect some trap. The calm part with piano could be used after battle or near end of the battle, when scientist are literally scared of what you are capable of. This is literally when Gordon changed.

This track reminds me so much of "Breaking the covenant" in the Halo 2 remaster. Also they serve similar functions: A big battle in the ending of a level with very close quarter combat.

That’s a good way of putting it I guess. I like this one as an extended version, but I think those bass thumps are a tiny bit distracting to me.
