Thanks for the video.
Great vid, thanx guys!
Question?? What’s the maximum distance this site allows for a 280fps bow
I’m not sure but there’s probably that info out there somewhere.
Thanks I spoke to Joe @easy v -max distance is 60 ish 🎯
Been struggling with target panic for several years and the past two years had to go to wearing glasses, would the ezv worth trying. I'm also in South Jersey and been hunting for 30 years and had never killed a deer more than 25 yards. Any tips for shooting with glasses would greatly appreciated. My current glasses are a progressive lens thinking maybe single power for down range
I use contacts that allow me to see down range. However I’ve also switched to an ARD sight. Adjustable Red Dot. It’s not cheap but it’s by far the best bow sight for older eyes like mine.
I take my e bike through swamp, water, big woods, bridges, hills, anything with no problems. I have transported fire wood with it. It's literally a beast.
⭐ Promo*SM
Second year in the Method. I did my own test with an all day sit. Method is the best for all day sits. I also think the Method is best overall, those sometimes the 2 panels is frustrating while walking in the woods. I also think the classic is superior to Tethrd.
Great video, switched to Day Six arrows and evo heads . Shot a doe high quartering away , had a complete pass thru , went 80 Yards good blood. Then shot a 8 pt , complete pass thru and stuck in tree , died 50 yards away . Never will I go back to light arrows and flimsy mechanicals.
Would like to get a e-bike but who can afford those prices
I hope this guy seen zero deer, I’d hate to have a bunch of injured critters running around just cause he suuuucked
ive tried it like the concept but my brain cant do it miss almost every time
Nice bro looks good.
That tattoo 🤡
Which one?
I need to get that set up and practice. Good song!
Go for it. Good luck 👍🏼
i love tim, such a chilled voice/guy and i wish him all the best. first episode i checked out but nice content guys!
He was secretary practicing. 😂👍
Are you still using it the sight.
No. I used it for half a season. Using the ARD bow sight this season.
Whisker biscuit’s are trash
Wouldn’t say they’re trash but after many, many years, I’ve moved to a drop away 👍🏼
Where in jersey you at?
South Jersey, exit 2 😂
How are you liking the blood trails from the single bevels? I bought a single bevel with a bleeder for my recurve but have some grizzly stik’s for my compound. Just a little nervous about finding blood. Nice when they tip over early but hoping to hear your experience with blood trails from the single bevel, thank you!!
Todd swears by single bevels. I use 3 blade cutthroats.
Just a couple of bros keeping each other clean and safe. The more I age, the more I have a hard time hunting these creatures. Why is venison so good though! 😂
😂. Yup. They just came out of bedding.
Any strategies for WMA hunting in New Jersey?
Thanks for the comment/question. We often talk about public land strategies on the podcast and will continue to cover it. Is there anything in particular you’re interested in? Maybe we can address it specifically on an up coming show.
I moved closer to bedding but still can only see bucks during the rut and six day. My camera has caught big bucks on scrapes but can figure out how to see them while hunting. Can find the does no problem?
@@user-ly3du9pk2m are the pictures your getting on scrapes during daylight?
@@thehuntingchallenge only during the rut. Rest of the time I just get up to 9 does at a time with no bait. All during daylight except for bucks.
Hey, we have about 10 min discussion on your question on this weeks podcast. It drops Thursday.
So much for the heavy front arrow dropping to the ground ha haha😄. 80 yards into a field! U could really tell what yardage u were shooting @ just by the penetration of the arrows into your target. I bought 5 extra target covers when I ordered my 2nd EZV. People that don't like the EZV will still have to range the yardage 3 times & correct the yardage on their slider twice b4 they feel confident enough to shoot. Hope u find those other 2 arrows. Thanks for the multiple items video. I think people will get the point.
I found one of them but ended up building a back stop and it’s worked great. I would still be shooting the EZV if it worked better in low light. Year over year, my eyes get worse and I found it difficult to bracket the target in the first or last 15 min of shooting light.
Do you half arse do everything like this video. Should have reviewed it before posting. And done it all over again.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Do they have ones for bows under 150 fps I’m just shooting a recurve instinctively bear bow no sights.. This thing looks perfect I hated the pins the time I tried it. But this looks like it would be great for instinctive shooters as a rang finder
Take a look at the JX3 saddle way comfortable, or the happy medium of an Arborist’s grade saddle like the Petzl Sequoia. The Saddle options are endless but I am just not crazy confident in the hunting quality saddles that aren’t having to meet any standards for falls (includes the JX3 for falls). What climbing systems options did you guys cover ? Climbing sticks, climbing steps, aiders such as Knaider & Schwaiders etc, or arborist’s grade full on climbing ropes. I am going full on Climbing Ropes with the Petzl ZigZag and Chicane rope wrench for ultimate security.
Hi Michael, thanks for commenting. Earlier this year I actually switch to the Latitude Method 2 saddle. The two panel system makes for a very comfortable sit. In the future, I will be breaking down my entire system and will show a video. It took me a few years to dial it in the way I want it. However, I use 3 skeletor sticks from Tethrd with two step aiders on each. Chance are, I will probably move to the new latitude sticks this year.
@@thehuntingchallenge I like the compactness of the Steps like the Wild Edge steps and the Primal Steps, smaller form factor and the Wild Edge steps come in a sort of holster carry bag. You can also create a ring of steps up top we’re you are hunting from. I would love to see a video of the pros and cons of climbing methods.
@@michaelgeorgia7063 Yup. I created a ring of steps with my bullman steps which I used the first year of saddle hunting.
Loved the video. Trying your setup but how do you covert MPG to use on iMovie? Thanks
Hey Bill! Sorry for the delayed response. As you can see, many changes were happening behind the scenes with starting a podcast etc. It’s been a while since I used iMovie but I do recall it working well with iPhone video. Also, you may be able change the format on your camera to achieve the desired format for editing.
dude-lock your 20 yard pin in b4 you screw around at distances
I did. Thanks for watching and commenting.
What pack are you running?
Tidewe frame pack.
After fifty years of hunting and killing deer etc, I’ve learned every deer is different. Seen awesome shooter bucks walk right down the same path I just used an hour ago. Seen bucks 200 yards downwind smell me or something they didn’t like and turned 90 degrees and gone. I’ve had deer hear my FLEECE clothing at 25 yards and others didn’t even pay attention to a cough I made ( hunting with bronchitis). There are NO SET RULES! Just do your best and go get in the woods.
Well said! Thanks for sharing.
what kind of scent control you running just wondering.
I spray down everything I wear. This year I’m trying nose jammer.
Poison oak
Yup, get that every year. This one was English ivy which I haven’t seen before and it’s everywhere. Wasn’t as nearly as bad bad as the poison oak.
Just copying things that certain channels have been teaching for a long time.
Thanks for watching.
I had a Bear Status EKO. Very accurate, shot lights out, but it was a bit loud, draw wasn't super smooth, and the finish wasn't great. I LOVE my Bowtech. You got some great buck footage! That sucks about the misses. I missed my first two deer last year within 45 minutes of each other, but was able to kill the next two. No shots yet so far down here in GA.
Yeah im liking the Bear. I hope I go two for two on my next opportunities. Good luck brother.
What a heart breaker! Really cool footage of the buck smelling the tree you hunted previously.
It was a cool experience. Not as good as shooting him 😂
Definitely worth the watch. Thanks
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Cruzr xc saddle but the tethrd platform. That’s is going to be my first setup. I can’t wait to buy my stuff.
Awesome man. Good luck 👍🏼
Looks uncomfortable .
This is my 4th year using it and have had a number of all day sits with no problems. It’s not for everyone tho. 👍🏼
Lizzy a great tracking dog and Kyle and awesome guy sorry this happened man, this happened to me in Ohio we called and called for Kyle and the dog while we were out there and him as well and cell service was so bad couldn’t even get a tracking dog sucks it really does man
It appears this guy doesn’t know a lot about bow set up and setting up sights. Using a biscuit on such a heavy isn’t a good idea. If it dropped thru the bristles once it can do it again.
Or it was an old biscuit and hasn’t happened since he replaced it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thx for the review! I think I will import one for myself (seemingly not available over here in Europe)
Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏼
It’s a huge commitment, thanks to you…I am going to make. All in preparation for good health and hunting season this year. God Bless you brother. Thank you!
Amen! Go for it!! One day at a time.
Nice honest video, and you did work your butt off! It's a bear scouting in this kind of heat! We had this back in 2018 on an Ohio hunt, and I killed a pair of hearing aids with excess moisture! I'm also much older, and my channel is geared towards aging Baby Boomers, so we're all trying to stay in shape but we have to use a lot of common sense when hunting especially with how we might get a buck out of the woods. I too hunt New Jersey on occasion, at the parks, but I always bring my wheel kit. Good Luck next Fall!
Thanks for watching, really appreciate it. Good luck to you as well.
5:41 the clip is called: Cam Jam XT Aluminum Tie Down Rope Tightener with Carabiner Clip
I experienced the same thing this season. My buck was a little smaller, but no matter its still a bad feeling. You gave all you could to the recovery. Look forward to next season and keeping learning. God speed.
Thanks for the encouragement! You’re 100% correct. It doesn’t matter how big the deer is. I’m doing all I can to be better for this season. Thank you for watching. If there’s any specific content you think would helpful, please let me know. Good luck this season 🙏🏼👍🏼
Nice video my friend! We have together for a run!
Thanks man. If you’re good with going slow, let’s connect 👍🏼😀
@@thehuntingchallenge I’m good with your pace of choice.
Thank you brother! You just helped me make my decision to start.
Awesome man!! Go crush it!!
what's up with the audio
What are you hearing? Seems ok on my end.
@@thehuntingchallenge It was fading in and out badly. Good video too, it was nice to see a new person trying this out for the first time. Im looking into saddle hunting this year. I used to climb (and cut) trees so used to hanging on a rope.
