i had an old security camera that i turned into a microscope. it has more zoom than this, but i had to break the one-way bulletproof glass (was a pain in the ass to break it), and remove some electronics to make it work.

That was a great video. I'm in the process of doing something similar but with addition of motorized x, y and z along with optical zoom and motorized focus all controlled over USB. I'll have to make a video when I finish collecting the parts and build it. Your design is awesome in the relative simplicity and the production and soundtrack top-notch! Thanks for sharing it with us.

pro tip buy your self a small camera ca web or a cctv one. reverse the lens, voila! good to see blood cells
