Paul understood the importance of prayer and he prayed for the saints. He saw in Colossi a true faith growing there evidenced by the way they loved all the saints. God who is love transforms the lives of those He redeems and gives them the desire to love others. This is a love that is expressed by our new nature in Him. There is no discipleship apart from love.
