      You are probably correct, this guy is just the driller but the same company will come set the pump and get everything setup for me once we get power out there. Thanks for the feedback!

    lol you wasted money drilling when tehre is water in your front yard with the county. dude get off fox news.

    • @BackNineEstateandVenue
      @BackNineEstateandVenue 2 дня назад

      The tap fee for the county water is more than 5K and then we would have to trench lines 1000+ feet from the road so the price difference is really not much at all.

    You have a non flowing artesian well. Your well hit a confined aquifer (confined by non permeable rock), and that aquifer has a head pressure equal to 30 ft from the elevation of your wellhead.

  • @saturnslutII
    @saturnslutII 6 дней назад

    Its the pressure from below in the water producing zone that determines the static level. My water producing zone is at 945 feet and my static level is 12 feet

    Where did you get the idea for the rebar mat under the post area? I'm getting ready to build a post frame with stem walls and this is an interesting detail I haven't seen anywhere else.

      This is typically known as a "spread footing". Pretty common for large point loads under columns when the soil is less than ideal. This is not technically required for me according to the engineer but it will certainly spread the load more evenly !

    Hey man, couple questions. 1) How are you funding this home build of yours (cash on hand, bank loan, USDA loan, etc)? 2) Are you a licensed builder or work for one? I ask because I am looking to do this exact thing for me and my wife and wanted to know what process you had to go through (obviously different state by state, but just in general). Thanks!

    • @BackNineEstateandVenue

      We tried to get a traditional loan but they require more then 50% of the finished area to be living space. Our local farm credit would lend it as an Ag loan but it would be a 15 year term and astronomically high interest. Therefore, we are doing as much as possible out of pocket and we have a HELOC on our current home in case we need to tap into it. Mr post frame has some good videos on financing if you are going to meet the 50% living area requirement. I am a software engineer and I have never worked professionally in the trades. I have always enjoyed building as a hobby and the projects just keep getting a bit larger. With that being said, I did get my GC licenses as a personal achievement but it is not required to build your own home in most states

    Just starting binge watching your channel. Just up to this video now. Love the progress you’ve made! Have you considered getting a thumb for your backhoe? I think it could be a help with all the clearing you’re doing. By the way, what state are you in? I’m watching from Ontario, Canada.

    awesome video bro, I have design a couple barndominium ideas myself, we are in the beginning stages as well, just bought my land and just got my Backhoe(which happens to be exactly like yours but a 455c FORD). The design is pretty good, I made a similar design but instead of having a living area on the first floor, I just did it all on the 2nd floor. and left the 1st floor entirely for a shop, barn needs, etc... You can have the entire 2nd floor as an apartment(which I have seen people do that) or you can do halfway and have your 2nd floor living space going the longway of the building(I'll be guessing the dimensions here but lets say 15'x60'). you can make a nice 2-3 bedroom apartment only using half of the building. Plus you can in the future do a deck on the outside where the lean to is located. If you are interested I can share the design I did just so you guys can have other options to compare, don't have to go with mine. Excited for y'all, can't wait to start on mine, learned a lot with your clearing land videos.

    I think the layout looks great! very practical and well thought through. I like the mudroom as a transition between the garage and living area. keeps the dirt out, especially with kids playing outside during the muddy seasons. the two doors in the master bath is also a good solution. I wouldn't want my guests to go through my bedroom either. I also really like the old style you're going for. the elevations look very nice! which side is the back of the building facing? something I always try to incorporate is enough natural light coming in, but also avoiding bedrooms facing south or south-west to keep the noon/afternoon heat out of the bedrooms. for master bedrooms I think north-east makes the most sense, since you're only in there to sleep, so you don't need tons of light, but getting some of the morning sun in there is nice. for kids rooms, I think south-east makes most sense, because kids are often in their room during the day, playing or studying. getting more natural light in there benefits their mood and productivity. obviously, with these barndo styles you're kind of limited when it comes to window placements. but if this was my build I'd put the building, so that the back is facing south-east. that way the kids rooms + play area and the living area has natural light all morning and into the early afternoon. then I'd put a window in the north-east facing wall in the master bedroom. you'd probably still want a window on the back side, so that it looks evenly from the outside, but I'd put a curtain or some shutters there to keep the sun (and heat) out of your bedroom.

    • @BackNineEstateandVenue
      @BackNineEstateandVenue 5 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the input! The back of the building is facing East. The master bedroom will have one window North and another East. The mud/laundry room is a must for sure to keep the living area clean!

    How much is the log yard paying for those loads. I guess either way your getting paid for something you need rid of so its better that hauling it to the dump. As for those big stumps some of them wont burn id just fing a low spot back on your property and dump them.

    ar $9.00 a log id just keep them for fence post or stackem and buy a log splitter for fire wood for the winter and fall camping nights who knows you guys might build a outdoor fire area in 2 years. at 100 bucks for a trailer load... i wouldint waste the tires and gas and maintance.

    Love that skidding grapple. Very smart. Going to have to get one of those for my land clearing efforts. Are you guys having a mill process the timber for your build? Subscribed.

    • @BackNineEstateandVenue
      @BackNineEstateandVenue 9 месяцев назад

      The only mills I have found that will process it for me are just people with a woodmizer and I am concerned that will have to many dimensional inconsistencies for the framing. However, when we are ready to put shiplap siding on the interior barn walls, that’s the plan. So for now, we are just selling the logs and getting them out of our way!

      I think the 1025 is a lot easier than trying to manipulate maneuver that backhoe you know around everything in the brush and everything I just and I think that it probably might be more economical on Fuel than that backhoe but I don’t know for sure I know they like their Fuel a little more than I thought they would but I am really impressed with them. I don’t have the back blade but I got a backhoe for mine and I’ve got a rotator that 40 inch tiller and that is timing to do it. You were doing with the backhoe she went down through it with the tiller, I think it’d be more efficient than Levo. I don’t know because I don’t have that my properties cleared and I just grow vegetables.
