Appropriate title name
Great album! "Nobody's Fault" is my favorite Aerosmith song, ever!
Spot on review.
It's a good album. The problem with people is that they just don't seem to be able to get into anything that isn't totally striking and and obvious "hit" candidate.
I really liked this album. It just came across to me that this was an album they had a lot of fun with
the black album was the end of Metallica for me. I liked it, but nothing after really.
I love the good songs that you mentioned, still better that it exists- rather than non existence
my dear long friend said hardwired is better death magnetic, i never listened to it but it cannot be that bad and i love death
Why are you reviewing it now...😅. The album was terrible.
Sorry fella, you’re about 8 years too late.
lmao
their only weak album. A pure, uninspired, retro midlife crisis 4/10
its not review its opinion
It's pitty that you rate album on the songs that you dislike. First half of the album is legendary.
i dont get people disliking this album its great
Wasn't able to get into it. I feel, for me at least, they've been out of ideas since St Anger
You must be deaf. 72 seasons is one of their best.
@@ilyeshmusic Then listen to it till your sick. I choose not to
Good review. I'm a Metallica fan, but I almost never listen to this record. Hardwired..., Dream No More, and Spit Out The Bone are the standout tracks for me. But there are too many songs I actively dislike, such as Atlas, Halo, and pretty much the whole second half of the album. It's just too sing-songey. Trying to become a metal version of modern Coldplay with stadium anthems that ring totally hollow to me. None of the urgency or danger of raw Metallica. I do feel 72 SEASONS was a dramatic improvement in song structure and seriousness of tone. Very few songs I actively dislike on 72S. Not a fan of Inamorata (I know it's "everyone's" favorite return-to-form track - but not mine)... it feels like Metallica's ode to Tool's 7empest as a contrived caricature of their sound. Does not feel authentic. "Hey, we gotta close the album with a proggy, epic 10-minute song that every fan will love." No. I'd be interested in your review of 72S.
Thank you for watching. If you go to my playlist called #MetalMonday you will see my review of 72 Seasons. Death Magnetic review is coming up next Monday 23rd Sept.
I enjoyed metallica in my youth. Ride the lightning, kill em all, master of puppets, but man, these last 3 albums have been trash honestly. Idk if its james's voice or kirks weak solos with lar's basic drums. They just dont have the grip they used to have 80's and 90's. I know, their bank accounts say otherwise.
Death Magnetic have some of Kirk's most complicated solos? Also James vocal range has almost doubled in the last 3 albums since he began vocal training.
@@ashwyne guess my ears don't hear it. All good. Just preference.
@@curtis5799 They sound basic to me too.
The story of the lost phone is so funny to me. All those great ideas that didn't make the album... all because of damn phone
Yes, I thought that was funny alright.
I think it's tragic and flakey af. Are you kidding me, Kirk?! If I did that at work, I'd be fired and possibly prosecuted for Damage, Inc.
One of the greatest debut albums of all time BAR NONE!!!
Without a doubt. 👍🏻
Greatest album ever 🤟
Abe Union pride I was at the show with my son Derek. Bernstein law out of st Pete great show glad I was there with my son
Second best album from Rush, no filler, and far superior to Moving Pictures! :)
What’s your favourite Rush Album?
@@WallofGain Hemispheres
Thanks for the shout out
No problemo!
nope, that crap they recorded with lou reed was by far the worst. even worse than st anger
It's interesting I remember this album from spending time with my uncle as a kid. He always was and still is a big fan of 80s music. So I heard a lot of big time albums from this era but I probably should listen to some of them again
Your uncle must have a great taste in music. 👍🏻 The 80s was a great era for rock music.
I bought on vinyl and I like it.
This album is definitely underrated.
I sure did
Great album. 👍🏻
Everyone hated it,I think it was the best, love it...thanks for the review...Todd from Ohio
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the shout out man😊
No problem Hector. Chat soon. 👍
Their songs are kinda over dramatic for my taste, but I can listen to some of their hits
I appreciate the feedback. A lot of people’s would agree with you.
Reviewing creed while wearing an alter bridge t-shirt hehe . Both class bands
I knew you would appreciate that! 🤣
For me Ride The Lightning is number one with the gold trophy Master of Puppets is number two with the silver trophy Kill 'Em All is number three with the bronze trophy
Great albums. 👍
I think Creed get too much hate. I liked this album.
They definitely get too much hate. They have a lot of good music on their albums. It used to be cool to hate Creed. Now it’s cool to dig Creed!! 🤣
They all stink
There's some really good stuff on this album.
Agreed. I think it’s underrated. 🤘
A classic.
Without a doubt. 🤘
How many songs are about California 😂
🤣 They are proud of their city! 😎
Banger start to finish
When I heard this record for the first time I knew it was something different/special.
It certainly sounded fresh. 👍
Ride Justice Black Master Kill Death magnetic Reload Load 72 seasons St anger Garage Hardwired
Very interesting list Gavin. 👍 Would be great to do a Metallica album ranking video if yourself & Luke are up for it?
Reload is my favorite because Marianne Faithfull is on it.
The first half of ReLoad rocks! 🤘
It has some good tracks and a few fillers IMO. We can do an is it that bad for minutes to midnight
Cool. Lets do it!! 😁
@@WallofGain that can be an episode yes
Metallica hasn’t released anything truly great since 1991. If everything that came after had been put out by another band, it would have been completely ignored. Metallica really only existed for 10 years, and they’ve been riding that hype ever since.
I know a lot of people that would agree with you. The quality certainly dipped after 1991, but I still think there is some fantastic music put out by the band after the Black Album.
Great video! Can you imagine if Death Magnetic was produced like 72 seasons or Hardwired?
That would be amazing. 👍
Hi, it seems my comments get deleted by YT for whatever reason. I wrote a fairly long message like 10 minutes ago and it was already removed. In it I was recommending you the Guitar Hero version of Death Magnetic because it has a far superior mastering compared to the album version. I'll keep this one short then. My own ranking is basically Kill 'em All at #1 (which I think should say "by Metallica and Dave Mustaine", though), then Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets tied at second place, then And Justice For All (significantly lower although I still love most of it), and then it doesn't really matter to me. I bought the black album the day it was released 33 years ago and it was a crushing disappointment. "My Friend of Misery" could have been one of their best songs ever, Jason's intro and the verse are absolutely amazing, but the singalong happy happy chorus absolutely kills it for me. As far as I'm concerned, they've never made new music anywhere as good after that. I love rock, hard rock and even a lot of pop music, but I never found Metallica very good at it. To each their own, of course.
Thank you for your ranking. 👍 There are plenty of people who would agree with you I’m sure.
Thrash not trash
🤣 What can I say, I’m Irish! ☘️
@@WallofGain well next time my wife (who is Irish) asks me to "take out the trash" I'll throw on some Metallica.... Thanks bud!
@@chrisd.3319😂
you should do megadeth next
I will add it to the list. 👍
Full banger
100%. 👍
Master piece. Remember listening for the first the time. Blew my mind
Its a classic alright. Definitely a game changer. 👍
Love nu-metal! Korn, limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and Papa Roach
Some great music released by those bands. 🤘
Heard a lot of good things about this album, definitely going to check it out 👍
Hope you enjoy it!
