Yep. Confirmed that i dislike the orange drop completely. Washy sound. I did the same test with over 15 caps. My faves are Vitamin T for Alder body guitars. Bumblebees for mahogany body...and that's kinda it. The best sounding cap i had was a bareknuckle PIO. It made any guitar I had sound like a vintage les paul. I know i'll get eyes rolled from all the engineers out there that only think theory that the value matters only...right....that's why a hifi amp sounds miles better with certain caps vs others...PS i'm an electronics engineer and yes i measured them all...they were identical and sounded different...on the gain channel.....clean less of a difference, close to zero.

I used a ToneRite as a suppository. Not only did it cure my hemorrhoid's, but after 48 hours of treatment, I was able to fart "Maryland My Maryland" in perfect pitch.

isn't that guitar completely laminate? If so, I don't think a Tonerite is going to make a difference, and I didn't hear any.

so this is a question i'm hoping some one might be able to answer , i've bought a new Squier Tele and going to upgrade all the hardware but as i'll be usuing it for recording purposes only , instead of keeping the 3-way switch for the pick up's i was wondering if it'd be possible to have 2 volume pots and a tone pot , so i could blend the pick-up's to the output and hopefully be able to do some noise cancelling with the 2 pick ups humbucking each other , is that something i could do ? .. Thanks , Great video btw

The most important thing is if you believe there is a difference. What others think is immaterial. Tony Polecastro gave a positive review and he certainly knows guitars. I put it on a brand new Martin sinker mahogany for one week. It definitely opened it up and made it more resonate. I can feel the difference when I play as the neck vibrates more than before. This is in addition to the tonal difference. I was very skeptical about the Tonerite before buying one. It makes sense that it works in that it vibrates the guitar as it would if a person was playing it. The difference is that it does this 24 hours a day. Thanks for your video. Keep on playing!

Your test is somewhat flawed........because an extensive treatment of 72 hrs ( or much longer ) with the ToneRite WILL drastically fatigue the strings. I bet ya kept the same strings on for both playing tests. Play your guitar & record it with brand new strings BEFORE the lengthy ToneRite treatment. Then after the treatment, install new strings again, and play & record. This is the ONLY way to "level the playing field" for an accurate test for before and after treatment with the ToneRite. Whether you record or not, you should be able to tell an amazing difference in your guitar from using the ToneRite. Many master luthiers & professional guitarists swear by the ToneRite. I swear by it myself. I own and use 2 ToneRites for my acoustic guitars. It works wonders. Scientific audio testing also proves the ToneRite really works too. When any one of my acoustic guitars are in need of a new set of strings, THIS is the prime time to do a treatment of 72 hrs with the ToneRite. Then after treatment, I install my new strings. I play/perform so often and for such long periods of time, I usually go through a set of quality D'Addario XS coated strings about once a month. Keep in mind, I use 3 acoustic guitars, so this is why my strings last for roughly a month ( and I always keep them very clean after each play period. ) If I only played 1 guitar, I would go through strings like popcorn.

I’ve seen a few videos on the tonerite and to my ears the before tone is always sounding better . It’s perhaps because 168hrs wears the strings some ? Not convinced yet. Nice playing though 👍

It’s personal preference. I ran Tonerite on my Washburn maple jumbo and noticed the longer sustain and warmer tone after. I am not too fond of maple bright tone, hence, I like the warmer tone result.

You're supposed to leave you old ( or "kind of old" ) strings on the guitar when treating it with the ToneRite for 72 to 144 hours. After that extended period of time, the ToneRite WILL fatigue those strings........which is why ya wanna wait to put new strings on after treatment. If the guy in this video didn't replace the strings, then he's really cheating himself on how much better the guitar responds after a lengthy treatment with the ToneRite. But before anyone starts making crazy accusations, you can test for yourself the following: Before the ToneRite treatment, go ahead and install brand new strings. After a lengthy treatment with the ToneRite, even though those recently brand new strings will be somewhat worn from the ToneRite, the guitar WILL respond better, and have a greater/broader tonal range......in many cases, even more volume & sustain..........in spite of the strings not being as "new" as when they were first installed before the ToneRite treatment. Countless luthiers and professional guitarists swear by the results of the ToneRite. Even scientific audio comparisons prove the improvement.

Found some Wima blue and red oblong 1000pf and a .015uf and apart from Yellow Mallory these small caps give 5he Guitar a bouncy tone. If you want a 50s tone try a .1uf Jensen...this cap seems to tighten up the high-mid to make it a bit more aggresive. Experimentation is the only way to find out what you like.

  • @marilynspiritlevelflattard4656

This is pure horseshit. Its not the playing that age the wood that much. Its life itself. Havibg a guitar age in a control humidity setting at 45% is the only way to really change the sound. Playing it also has a milder effect. Having such low vibration and no sound does nothing. . And it might even be detrimental to the glue of the bridge to have such non stop vibration on a focus spot....wich is totally unnatural. Master builder like Katsuo Yairi in japan use loud speaker in his seasoning room for a reason... .he played guitar music full blast in these room for 90 days. Just to have all guitar vibrate trough sound.
