Yes! The have a blinking led light which lets the person in front of you know if they’re being filmed or photographed. If the user of the frames decides to tamper with the led (cover it with tape or paint over it) the sensor of the frames will notice this and won’t allow him/her to take any photos or videos. 👍🏼

It’s not about recording videos of others. It’s about making your own videos for your own memories. Focus on your content story telling. Like how fixing/doing something or your daily family. It just like any cameras, don’t use it in a wrong way. It’s called integrity. I used it daily listening music, phone calls, podcasts and randomly photos and videos of my hiking vlog in the trails.

@@Helmut_Barroso That at least shows that Meta thought about the easy stuff. But what about if you re-position the LED or sensor. Or just bypass them. Now, I know that responsible users would not do that, but we both know that irresponsible users will not be rare. Nor will people with tech skills sufficient to do the re-wiring and sell them on. Also, Google Glass had a similar warning light that was disabled by software modders within a few weeks of becoming available.

It's about the kind of people who will do whatever they feel like for their own gratification or to make a buck, without consideration of harm to others. That sort is hardly rare and they will tarnish the reputations of all other wearers.
