Endangered Kaloula Borealis in Asan city, South Korea. A site where they are protected, yet the installed fence might keep some frogs on the land, many frogs still are in danger by walking on the pavement and roads, falling in the drains, being squashed by bicycles and kick boards. Other locations also have K. Borealis, some have no protection, despite the fact I reported them. The Problem is w...

@@onewithnature1WN Nymphs not larvae. Larvae often have very different forms from their imago (adult) forms. Insects with larvae have 4 stages called complete metamorphosis where it is egg, larva, pupa and adult. Insects with nymphs have incomplete metamorphosis which has only 3 stages, egg, nymph and adult. They skip the pupa stage completely! Rather insects with nymph stages simply molt or shed their outer skin into the imago form.

This is crazy, in Seoul and some places in Kyunggido, seems like country trying to protect this species with making artificial enclosure at the area(I remember there's also law about it too). However they have no idea that this is happening on the other side of the country. Such a harsh reality. Man I really wanna help with your activity but I live in Ilsan. Such an awesome content bro.

Thanks a lot! I appreciate your comment! This is a big problem in many places in Asan. Frogs aren’t even being protected in other locations! The same problem happens in Daejeon and Sejong. Most likely in other areas, too. The protection laws are an issue. I wish to see changes to the law. It’s such a big problem!

The beautiful song bird sound comes from the Black-naped oriole (Oriolus chinensis). There are other birds but the one I wanted to record specifically was the Oriole bird! It’s a migratory bird in South Korea, spending the warm seasons here to raise their chicks. ^^
