    • @str8upgreen406
      @str8upgreen406 22 дня назад

      I don't really have club mapping charts. I just went on a low wind, long fairway and hit the ball with enough spin to exactly the length of the club. Believe it or not, some clubs took more spin, some took less spin. I wrote that down on a piece of paper and memorized it years ago. That paper is long gone LOL. You can do the same thing to see how far the ball goes with full backspin, and that is your club distance with full back spin. I'm too lazy to do that :)

I wouldn’t have played many of those shots the way you did, your insights are on another level and I have lots more to learn, as you obviously made the right calls every time..... ⛳😀 / I also like to use the "Green View at times.. -I can't say that I'm fully understanding about the new colouring of the greens... to me, it seems to look like "glossy floor tiles" and it makes the moving balls a little hard to see -but it's always good fun.

    Is it not advisable to stay with a ratio that comes up above 90% because as % get lower it doesn't hold up as far as 'mapped 'carry distance/yard distance'' mathematically speaking . For example 100 yard club at 70% will not carry 70 yards. Of course you would get a lower club, say a 75 yard if you had it in the bag , but if you have a GAP that calculates below 90% you have to adjust up ,. At least it seems that way to me

  • @TheFlax33

    As a fairly new golfer nothing makes me happier than to see you veterans calculate putts and then miss them just like I do. That's what makes WgT a great game because of its variance. Great video I got a lot out of it thank you.. When it's all said and done it comes down to the power and the sweet spot.

      Start with adding 5 yards to your total distance. Then, if you get a strong lateral wind, add another grid or two for the wind. Lastly, know that you can land left of this pin and it typically feeds right. Practice mode will be your friend.

    Hi Jason. How do you assess the vertical dots?

    • @JasonGray503
      @JasonGray503 Год назад

      Hi Jeff. Honestly, I don't look at the vertical dots much. Maybe an error on my end. I know Babzilla does and if you check out his putting videos on his channel he talks about them a bit. My take is, clicking the arrows to look at the vertical dots... if the dots are moving uphill towards the golfer the putt should break slightly less and if theyre moving downhill towards the hole the putt often breaks slightly more.

      Everyone enjoys games differently. Just like real life golf: not everyone is going to learn the math, map clubs, practice all the time and then go play rounds in real life. You get to choose that on here too. But, for those that want to get great and understand how it all works, without just playing casually, this video can help.

    • @JasonGray503
      @JasonGray503 Год назад

      @@billantos My pleasure. Understandable. This game can be pretty simple to do well on but takes more time to do great on for sure. In the limited time you do use for the game, you might already be doing this, but you could take 5-10 mins each time to practice whatever area you seek improvement on and then go on to play. I see many guys that play 1-2 rounds a day but never work on fine tuning their weak areas. If they played one less round a week and used that 30-60mins to practice with intention I bet theyd be a lot better.

    I played the TM 81 ball for a short time, then moved up to the TM 93 since it has slightly more spin, distance, and slower meter. I really like a ball with spin around the greens for consistent pitches. After playing the 93 a few months I started playing the Titlelist 87, mainly for the extra spin and even slower meter. I figure if I'm going to invest a lot of time on wgt, again, (I'm old-school-2010), I might as well play a ball that makes the game that much easier. Took a 5-6 yr break from wgt and started back right before they switched to the new mobile version, a lot has changed.
