Looked for many ways on RUclips but had very weird and bad ways to remove the old sticky lens safely. So heres my own easy and fast (safe) way.
YAMAHA YZF R-125 OIL CHANGE
Просмотров 12 тыс.4 года назад
Last oil change i had no gaskets and all yamaha dealers was closed so i had to use fluid gasket on the oil filter cover. That's why you should always buy all the gaskets. Also try not to buy aftermarket oil filters such as k&n. I had to buy it because my local mc store had only k&n for my mc. As long as you never re use it you should be fine. Because my camera was in front of me it was akward t...
Hi mate just done a service on my bike today iv noticed theres no spring and oil pan that gos bk in the sump will this effect the bike at all thanks
@@DanielLee-gv1iw i'm not sure but i suggest u buy the spring if your bike doesnt have one. Yamaha would never design a part that is not important for your bike
@gloriouschannel3683 I understand mate 👍 gutted os just put fresh oil in it and service it
3 things sparkplug , battery or alternator
@@thebeatconnoisseur2331 it was spark plug that got wet. Coolant leaked inside my engine
@gloriouschannel3683 The same thing happened to me 2 day. My battery got flat , then i bought a new 1 then it died again 😄 it was pissing down 2 daybso my spark plug might be wet or my alternator is gone
from where did you buy that gasket for the oil filter cap?
Depends on where u live
Make sure you don't heat it up too much!
It’s not always spark plug it’s water getting into any of the connections causing it to short when cranking hence the low battery symptoms
It was coolant leaking inside the piston
just push it to start
I got this issue with my Yamaha wr and I couldn’t figure out the problem at all and if u ride it in the rain does it bog and cut out
You might have rain getting inside your engine maybe. Best thing you can do is to check your spark plug and see if it's dry or not
That was common on the yzfr. I would check spark plug for water under the cap, that's a cheap fix if it's dry then you might to take a look at the spark coil, check magnetic poles and electric terminals for corrosion. It's one of the places I had to treat with acf50 as the yzfr coils occasionally got wet in heavy downpours.
I need help with mine
what happend to yours?
Why motul semi synthetic?
because i showed the shop what specs i needed for my oil. and they gave me that one.
@@gloriouschannel3683 okey, did your yamaha burn oil?
@@miga9571 never. it was always full perfectly on the line. i did so much km's that i also had to do 1 or 2 oil changes a year.
@gloriouschannel3683 hmm meyby you know what it can lose oil? No blue smoke nothing just 150km and 200ml
@@miga9571 They said these r125 are eat oil really quick, i rode 1000km on it and i had to refill it, i didn't saw the oil on the dipstick. Now i watched the video bc i want to change oil tomorrow :D Btw thanks creator helpfull video!
i have the same problem i try again in about 20 minute and start perfectly
I've had the same problems, turns out my plug was coated in carbon, new NGK plug fixed it right away
the question is how long will it last till it happens again. you should use an injector gasoline cleaner
How did you remove bottom oil drain bolt so easy mine just doesn’t feel like coming off
what are u using to take it off? remember longer means more power. and a trick is to not pull but push or even slam it with your fist a few times
Get a cover
This looks so hard
I take this as a joke. Haha good one
That is a bad battery
Not exactly. Battery dying because it won't start.
How much oil?
Exactly 1Liters as shown in the video just make sure it's the same model as mine
@@gloriouschannel3683 thanks
Cranking slow. Check for weak battery.
Yes true that's because i was cranking too much, that the battery got weak. But the battery was not the problem. Read description
What size is it on the Bottom of the engine oil
socket? i really dont remember but it was 19mm or 17mm. not so sure im sorry
Hi i noticed in the description you say not to use aftermarket oil filters, why is this?
Yes. Some people don't think it mathers. But what i always say and some people is that the original filter is always the best filter. Because yamaha designed it for that specific motorcycle. Aftermarket ones could have bad or good quality filter. We will never know the real deal. I would say stay safe and sure and use just original filters it's not that expensive anyways
Hi I’ve got the same problem have you had it again after you’ve fixed the gasket and piston ? I’ve just had mines changed about 3 months ago but sometimes struggles to start
No i had not. Because it wasn't a original 125cc piston it broke the whole starting system. I had to sell it because it was too expensive to spend much money again...
I need more information. So sometimes it starts normal and sometimes it's hard to start? Or it just does not start now?
do you change the gaskets every time you change the oil?
Yes! Some people don't but i always do replace them. Otherwise it might leak!
What was that spray you used on it mate?
Brake cleaner. Basicly a car product to be used to clean dirt and oil. Don't use it on plastics
also silicone spray but be carefull cause it makes sealings get larger. but very usefull for 1 time use sealers, cause it alows you to remove it more easy next time
My bike is leaking oil from over flow pipe what should I do what does it mean?
More details? What bike and what did you do
@@gloriouschannel3683 I bought a Yamaha yzf r 125 2014 and was told was leaking slightly due to over filled it with new oil but is still leaking slightly after a ride
Never believe a seller believe what you see. Look for where it comes from. They lied to you. It probably has a bad gasket or maybe drain bolt is leaking. Did you put new sealant? Like you see in the video
@@gloriouschannel3683 I’ve done nothing yet
@@gloriouschannel3683 what’s should I do
2008-15 yzf-r125?
yes mine is 2010
Same procedure with all years be aware that the oil filter changes after 2013 version
can i use full sintetic oil?
Fuel pump fuel injection
Nope it was a gasket.
Got this issue on my ys125 change the spark plug cap and spark plug whilst you’re at it only happens when it rains When you use throttle when starting you are also flooding engine so harder to start and youll get a strong petrol smell when it does start
Yes indeed but i just tried to give gass somethimes on scooters it worked so i i tried anyways
But i allready found the problem. Gasket leak
@@gloriouschannel3683 what was the problem? i have the same issue on my yzf 2009
My friend. First replace the spark plug with a new spark plug. If it starts. You have the same problem. That means the spark plug gets wet and that means you have a bad clinder gasket. When it's a bad gasket it leaks coolant inside the cilinder and the spark plug gets wet.
If you don't want to buy a new spark plug there is a cheaper alternative. Check your radiator if the coolant is low that probably means your gasket is bad or it can also be a waterpump or termostat leak. But i recommend you to just replace the spark plug and try starting it
Nice video!
Thank you for watching!
Try lower your co setting, I would also check the oil level I think if theres to much oil it would make it run rich since theres some comming from the pressure relief hose or even change the oil if theres fuel in it, also check the coolant level, try to take a look down in the radiator from the radiator cap if you can see calcium inside it since that would cause it to overheat
allready fixed this. and no none of this would help. it was just a bad gasket and broken piston
Did you find out the problem bud ? On how it got wet and such ? I’m having the same issue while I’m riding in the wet
I would change the o rings mate to make sure the seal is tight
Petter Emdal the o rings on what mate ?,
@@hatton992 i think he meant the o rings of the piston
@@hatton992 my problem was that i had a bad cilinderhead gasket. So basicly overnight it was leaking coolant into the cilinderhead causing the spark plug to get wet and not starting. So i replaced the gasket and i found out that the piston was broken. the smart last owner let it fall on the ground and he still placed it on the mc. I will never buy a second hand bike anymore.
also should i do a service video of this mc? what do u guys think just straight on tutorial/step by step.
