I live near there. The lake is named after my neighbor . It’s part of their flooded farm

I was just there a couple days ago in that spot

That first area you showed was the emergency spillway overflow, only so much water can go through the damm gates and that cut area is there incase of high water levels to prevent failure of the dam systems, And is what I consider to be a gem in our state for fishing but don’t tell everyone about it. Keep coming up with good content

Appreciate you showing this and especially the dam area. My Pou-Pou or grandfather first took me fishing right there at the dam! Great little park and even greater people who live near Steubenville- Wintersville area!

It’s 100 percent just like my pelican axiam 100x. I love it and if something happens to it I’ll be searching for one just like it. Always feel secure in it and plenty of space for my fishing gear

I remember when I was a kid my dad would take me fishing here and thier was no walkway to get to the dam thier was alittle path on the side of the hill about 10 inches across only the brave went to the platform had latterns and my whole family would camp and play horse shoes ..GOD ALOT OF MEMORIES

Enjoyed many years of peaceful fishing from our pontoon boat on Clendening with my late wife. Took a season to figure the lake out, but it yielded quality largemouth, saugeye and white bass over time. Some of the best fishing was in the bay directly across from the marina building. My personal best largemouth came from seven feet of water close to shore, with a Rapala mid-depth shad rap, crawfish pattern, at 4pm on a warm and sunny August afternoon. That particular crankbait is no longer made by Rapala. Good memories.

I'm french living in the SW of France. I ended up here while reading a novel, Ducks Newburyport by Lucy Ellman. At some point the main character monologues about her fear of dams and she mentioned this particular dam I just wanted to have a look at... Cheers.
