Long before Brooks Koepka won the 2017 U.S. Open at Erin Hills, the 652 acres of pristine land was host to icy fingers and streams from the last glacier to cover south central Wisconsin. Rivers carved graceful features into the landscape, turning the Kettle Moraine into the diverse region that it is today. Architects Michael Hurdzan, Dana Fry and Ron Whitten adopted a minimalist approach in designing Erin Hills, as nature had sculpted the land so well that the golf holes seemed to emerge from the property. With the individual rooms and suites in the Lodge to the five cottages (each with four bedrooms and four bathrooms), there is a lodging option available for everyone. I had a 9 on this hole from the green tees... JT is lying 2 from 5 feet.
Played out there last week and saw the plaque they installed in the fairway where the shot was made. It was unbelievable.

@@perfectsense3240 Because with that Shot and Putt, he TIED the all-time US Open record for lowest score ever and you could argue it was one of the BEST shots ever in a Major even though it wasn't by a winner.
meh, why not. May be the most iconic shot ever on a fairly new course. It's not like they put a bronze statue of him on 18, and it gives all the golfers something to gawk at when they play

@@gregcrosson5404 with technology making the game more and more obsolete for these guys im sure alot of guys could hit that shot and it's unfortunate because nobody should be hitting 600+ yard holes in 2 or have driver 8 iron into a 490 yard par 4, 560 yard par 5 is a driver 4 or 5 iron for most of these guys and it's really getting ridiculous at this point.
