I disagree on your comment about double breasted jackets and vests not being buttoned at the bottom. Unlike modern single breasted jackets, these items are still tailored to be buttoned and look good. It’s personal preference on whether you wish to button the bottom of these or not.

I also own Proper Cloth shirts - many. I learned too late many have collar collapse. Select the "reinforced placket" option on all shirts from Propercloth. On the PC shirts I already bought I had my tailor install the "million dollar collar" stay in the plackets - fixed the problem.

90% of mass market glued men dress shoes are marketed as oxfords are really derbies. Most folks simply don't know the difference. That said, I would not wear anything but a calfskin oxford with a suit. Most times I am wearing sports jackets with chinos in which case oxfords, derbies, or loafers are in play. Honestly I am shocked to even see a nice pair of derbies on man these days, let alone an oxford.

Oxford shoes were considered casual as people wore Balmoral boots for everything. As were the Blücher and its shorter counterpart. So if you can't stand Derbies you shouldn't stand Oxford either, might as well wear boots.
