    Way back when, even before this engine We got into a relationship with ICE. We fell in love. ICE was cool, new and not a horse, it was simple and only needed a few supportive systems, Fuel, starting, cooling, ignition, oil We didn't take note of all the flaws until the relationship with the Internal combustion engine turned sadistic, and as the abused part of the deal we internalized and even loved the abuse But as time moved along we got tired of cranking and getting our arms broken, so we got ICE a starter motor (electric*) We got tired of the oil going bad to fast, so we got positive crankcase venting As time moved along and ICE's abuses started to bother us we kept getting things to cover over his flaws cause he won't change Today, we have given ICE so much stuff that it's very complicated, there are dozens of systems of systems and they themselves are also causing a lot of problems When you compare an Internal Combustion Engine and Electric Motor of the same power, disregarding the battery and feul, how do they compare? That is as unfair as putting a professional athlete against a high school athlete EVs are 'Doing' Prime Time better than ICE in all ways accept for a couple, three if you add pickups Range, Distance, Charge time, and towing 'Distance', Not towing All of those other complaints are either misinformation disinformation or just general car complaints So many people are cheating themselves by not getting an EV, primarily home owners who seldom take trips over 300 miles All that battery crap is lies from exaggerated news about real battery issues that are within the average amount of problems with human products Remember, the Petroleum Industry is waging a ferocious war against renewable energy and EVs and they have experienced and the resources Don't let them kill this awesome thing that we have in EVs

      That is what I was thinking, but there are no connections anywhere to accept either of those weather pack fitting, which is why I thought it might be an 87 tbi, but it is an 86. There is no spark box when using an HEI distributor and carb, right?

      @HoosierBrewer 5 дней назад

      That was not factory. I rebuilt the entire front end, less the steering rack and axles 52k miles ago when I put the lift on it. With the corrosion at the crack, it had to have been cracked a while, if not a defect. Never took her out off roading.
