Good reminder about gifts, it prompted me to comment. I'm not exactly sure if what my gifts are, but I'm reminded that God can use me in fellowship even though I'm just a simple grandma and mom still caring for special needs sons in my old age. I too, have a church of Christ background. I like to listen to your devotions as I work in the kitchen. In fact, the text says that understanding is a matter of the heart and not of the mind. However, I understood the text to mean that incomprehensible parables were preached to the listeners instead of the teachings of the apostles because of their dull hearts, so that they willfully cannot see the truth and will not be saved. Accordingly, a dulled heart is not something that can be remedied independently and through an act of the will, but rather a serious damage that excludes one from salvation through Christ.

TRUTH⚠️

Thank you for your well thought out response. I do leave room for a physical fulfillment, as mentioned around minute 1:30 of this video. For the purpose of this video, however, I chose to focus on the spiritual fulfillment. Consider that this too is a great testimony to Yahweh. Hearts once dry and thirsty now flowing with springs of life definitely attests to a God Who is present and able to meet the inward yearnings of our heart.

I listened to several sermons on Isaiah 41:17-20, including one by Charles Spurgeon. All, including yours, uses the verses as metaphors. I don't think Yahweh was making metaphors here. He wants to make rivers, fountains, pools and springs as well as cedar, shittah, myrtle, olive, fir, pine and box trees. Putting all those things in unlikely places, where needed, so that people would see them and and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of Yahweh hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it. Seeing powerful miracles from God really encourages peoples' faith as well as providing for their needs. Yahshua used water as a metaphor with the Samaritan woman at the well saying he could give her living water. The lady mistook the metaphor for the literal and pointed out that Yahshua did not have a bucket. One third of land on Earth is desert. It is Yahweh's Earth. If He wants to transform it perhaps our part is to ask Him to do what he says he wants to do in Isaiah 41. After all we have not because we ask not. But we are not going to ask for it if we think it is only a really good metaphor.

It’s also speaks to the rapture of Gods people before the tribulation. And the world will be confused by what has happened. Further in the chapter it talks about the chaos during the tribulation period.

Which gods are in Genesis 1? Genesis 1 is ELOHIM (Lucifer and the fallen angels). They made this realm. They made man in their image. (tares) Man is an idol, a trap to hunt angels. Genesis 2:7 the Lord God forms His representative in their system. (wheat) One Gospel: Gospel (GOOD ANGEL) of Reconciliation. Jesus Christ came into THEIR kingdom to reconcile fallen angels unto Himself. We are the fallen angels (ELOHIM) kept in DNA chains of darkness. If you do not confess being a fallen angel in Lucifer's kingdom, then you are an unbeliever. Unbeliever = those that claim to be made in the image of ELOHIM(gods). REPENT FALLEN ANGELS.

The Kingdom of God was preached to the English over a thousand years ago. They have demonstrated how receptive they are to it already, and re-preaching it will only move a few hearts at this point. We are approaching the End, and the reign of King Josiah is a good way to illustrated the situation. The People want interporn, scratch off lottery tickets and McDonalds.

Thank you for this video. I sometimes reflect on myself to the nation of Israel, of how they've failed to remember the Lord in their ways, of how close to God they are and yet sometimes deliberately accepting other gods in their life, how they tried to be faithful to the Lord and giving their all for worship and what's only right for the Lord, and how they we're desperately clinging to God for help when things suddenly aren't on their favor. That's me as an individual, and today, I am reminded again of how I should practice these chapters unto my life with the help of this video.
