This webbing was only exposed to UV. I would be curious of the impact of actually used webbing in combination with UV exposure. It's the spherical cow problem because highline webbing doesn't just sit around in short 3m segments unused. Webbing is often 50+m with wind blowing it and highliners whipping on it and bouncing it. That plus the UV seemingly would significantly reduce it's life span.

Very interesting discussion! For testing old webbing with a high degree of variance in breaking strength, I think 3σ is a good tool, even with a small sample size. Using the breaking strength of the weakest sample to be representative of all samples implies that you have somehow found the 1-in-1000 outlier, whereas 3σ can at least model approximately where the true MBS lies without busting 1000 samples.

Woul you suggest trying different tensions all at once or first be confident at one same line and then trying different setups, also I think it's better to start with a line no longer than 15 mts
