hi. same here. try not eating any grains for 2 weeks. there is a chance your GERD will go away, and your heavy breathing will get better. try it. keep up the good work. look up grain intolerance. keep in mind that many medications will induce inuline resistance to some degree.

Heya! Just stumbled on your old reddit post whilst looking up something unrelated about adhd music 🤷🏻‍♀️😅. Read your story, landed here.. Have adhd too, lost a bestie to sui---, it hurt a lot because it came out of the blue, led to a lot of MH struggles for me. I can't imagine what it was like caring for your wife and losing her. I'm really sorry you had to go through that 🥺 but also really GLAD to see you're still here 5 yrs after that post. Amazing work mate 🙂💪 it's never easy keeping your head above water in those situations. And now for my adhd tangent that's actually related to your video: I MASSIVELY use audiobooks and gaming as a coping mechanism too. My total listening time is 22 months and 7 days lol... 😂 It REALLY HELPS as a coping mechanism with adhd. What I'd suggest if you haven't read them yet is the entire Discworld series. Those were my crutch for so many years and still are if I'm having a really bad day. They're deep in parts, but mostly funny as hell, irreverent, pretty British humour and heartwarming (even when handling tougher subjects) and the voices of Nigel Planer and Stephen Briggs reading them to me ABSOLUTELY became like a "comfort blanket" for my brain. Other series I got really into (not comedy, all fantasy mostly because Terry Pratchett was my 'gateway drug' to fantasy lol) are things like Robin Hobb's Elderlings series, Stephen King's Dark Tower, Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovich, Ursula K LeGuin's Earthsea, The Wit her books by Andrzej Sapkowski, A Song of Ice and Fire by George Rr Martin (Although admittedly that one is annoying due to not being finished..) and most of Jon Ronson's books (bc nothing is more comforting when you think "I'm going crazy" than to hear what ACTUAL crazy looks like 😂). Oh and the Count of Monte Christo is incredible too! 50+hrs of a book right there... All worth it 😊 Hope your health is OK, body & soul, and wishing you all the best in the future random Internet stranger 😜✊

If someone wants to k@ll themselves, that's a choice they are going to attempt, but it's insane to allow others to assist them, because it's our societal duty to protect others. It is no different than if I see someone on the edge of a bridge. If I let them jump off the bridge without doing anything to help, I'm a coward, and if I even go as far as encouraging them or helping to push them off, I'm truly an evil person. Again, if someone wants to go through with it in secrecy, they pretty much have no way of being stopped, but openly allowing others to "assist" the suicid@l in that way, it will hurt so many people who's issues are only temporary, not just those with terminal illness with no exit in sight. I don't have confidence in any safeguards like you mention, it's going to cause so much anguish to families that get told their child, their mother, their brother, their family member went to their doctor who "assisted" in their death. True assistance would be to help people through whatever realistically meager conflict is causing their survival instincts to be overwritten, but if it's a terminal illness, they should be allowed to decline hospital care for home hospice so they may die in peace, if they have medication that prolongs their life, they can end their prescription, let them pass by natural means. People *will* be convinced by doctors, it's a fact, and it's a potential step closer in the direction of forced eugenics, everything that's going on feels more like a loss of the right to live more than the right to premature death. Of course I sympathize for people who suffer from slowly losing all their memories, this is still not the solution if it means costing many younger lives as collateral, who are more willing than ever to give up on everything. On this controversial topic, my stance is respectfully, opposed.

Psychological disabilities will always be more nuanced than the physically observed ones, and I hate it when I lose ideas in the moment as well, it's the mental equivalent to wanting to sneeze and then it goes away.

“I’m Autistic and I never act like that” sounds absolutely stupid and the worst part of it was I hear it sometimes cause people forget that autism is a spectrum so when people are on the different side of the spectrum they think it’s just rude behavior but they can’t help it and honestly I can relate to this video when people act differently it’s rude behavior so with expectations like that you have to mask yourself yet you always feel like your different (especially in the church but that’s a different discussion) it’s really heartbreaking knowing people say they understand you but don’t

The internet is the great equalizer, nobody cares what nation you're in, there's no pressure to follow your government's views (except in the strictest countries that end virtual anonymity), we have the freedom to speak out against the powerful with full honesty, it's a unique privilege not seen much pre-internet, Jester's privilege. I play a lot of chess online, so I see a lot of international allies there, and when downloading media, I see people with the same interest in it too ;P As the saying goes, history is written by the victors, but those who fought in wars don't like to talk about war, they aren't the victors, the victors are the generals and munitions manufacturers, so the quote goes even deeper than history just being written by all on the "winning" side.

I'm also on the spectrum, I completely understand. I personally CAN function outside, but man is it a lot.

Brother do you really need to take that whole cart everywhere you go? Literally putting a barrier between yourself and the outside world

I am lucky, because I have a caring mum. Even if it’s hard to open up and trust. Even with her imperfections, she cares. She does the chores daily and carries so much stress and pain, and she pushes on for the ones she loves, including me! Even with the imperfections, I am lucky because my mom cares for me. I am lucky, to have a father who cares for me. He works hard daily, and I don’t know how hard working life is but I KNOW it must be hard. And yet he asks me and my family often whether we want food on the way home with no complaints. He comes back and although I’m annoyed that he doesn’t shower immediately, he’s human too. That doesn’t mean I’m not lucky, because my father is still a good father who works hard for the ones he loves. I am lucky to have a family who cares and has their best wishes, and understands the value of family. I believe we would all support each other no matter what. I am lucky, because I have a proper education, more specifically, because I can afford it. I am lucky because I have a house. I am a lucky person because I live in an area where walking around at night doesn’t bring me fear. I am lucky to have stumbled upon you by chance, a person to remind me of the gratefulness one should have and the joy it can bring. A reminder to bring gratitude into my life too. Thank you to my mother, father, family, people who bring me joy. Have a good life, good luck 🍀🩷
