Actually shift work is great cause I feel like there’s clear boundaries between work and personal time + running errands/going out during off peak periods is great for me! Just gotta build your routines around it I’m trying to vlog anonymously, so I can’t share too much about what I do since it’s quite niche :/

Hihi! You can consider going for a trial class first to kinda check out the environment of the studio and also ask them for the size/format of their pottery classes. Personally, I find that if the trial is too short (1hr), then usually it’s a quantity > quality kinda studio. I find that having a small class size means that they are devoted to teaching you the basics properly. My previous studio was just members of varying levels signing for slots, and then the instructor would walk around to try to teach everyone (there’s more than 10pax during each slot), but it was just chaotic cause there’s no way the instructor tracked everyone’s progress, and I was left to my own devices a lot. Yes! It’s nice to be out doing touristy things sometimes + the Aurora Borealis light show was stunning. Weather was humid though 😵‍💫

Hello!! Sorry I don’t have exact measurements cause I usually eyeball the amount of water I use, but 1) You can try to sieve your powder so it dissolves easier 2) Use water that’s hot enough (I use the 90 degree setting on the water dispenser) 3) A good gauge on whether the amount of water is enough would be whether it foams/froths up easily. Maybe you can add a bit of water and if it doesn’t froth mich, slowly add more until it starts frothing so you know how much water to add next time. If it doesn’t froth, that means there’s probably undissolved matcha powder Hope this helps! :)

Hello! When I went to Khao Yai, there weren’t taxis around for hailing. What my friends and I did was to hire a driver to drive us around during our trip (booked this in advance on Klook) You can also get the hotel to call a driver/cab for you, but I think you will have to make the request in advance. No it’s not intrusive! I used to track my expenses, but I realised I didn’t do anything with that info. Tried setting a hard budget as well, but … I wasn’t strict enough with enforcing it, so I found myself not sticking to it anyway. In certain months there’s just a lot of celebrations/gifts to get/fancy meals/catching up, and that “overspending” feels inevitable I definitely overindulgence in food/coffee/pastries though, and that’s something I want to cut down on. I wish I felt a certain guilt, cause I don’t rly feel that 😅 perhaps the mid point between the guilt you feel and the lack of guilt I feel would be the sweet spot! I do think it’s okay to treat yourself once in a while though? Ofc, it’s up to you to decide what the threshold is for what counts as an excessive treat/what is reasonable. I don’t think you should be too hard on yourself if you’ve worked hard to earn that dough! Despite not tracking expenses, I do save healthily, and feel quite secure financially. Am thinking of bigger purchases right now (I.e house), but with that, it’s a HUGE commitment, so I gotta start evaluating my spending and be less generous with myself Am defo not the best person to look to financially, and there’s defo more prudent ways to live life less excessively, with as much contentment. Thanks for the thought provoking question Clara! It has made me quite reflective about my spending habits :)
