Best thing I did to my 900 was change the drive pulleys to the Barons pulleys. It's like having the overdrive gear that they desperately needed

Just got a 2024 Classic LT myself, and am amazed how good the stock pipes sound! Not loud but good tone. I'm sure the 2009 I had didn't sound as good, and I was forced to put on the V & H pipes back then. 😄

I'm a rider of 38yrs and owned several bikes over the years,triumph,harleys, Suzuki intruders and now my 2nd vulcan classic 04 and now a 2014 classic 900 and let me tell you my experience these vulcans are well worth buying,, affordable and great running bike and styling and sound is great,, lots of compliments from many lookers,, this bike is very enjoyable to ride. Plenty of power even with 2 up no issues at all.

Fz1 stand on big business need to get my machine back up and running

I'm 57 and I just started riding about four years ago, I basically had a 2015 Vulcan 900 Classic fall into my lap, so I just had to learn how to ride it. I really, REALLY love my Vulcan, it's the only bike I've ever ridden, but I know that no matter how many motorcycles I have, I will never EVER sell the Vulcan. I do wish that it had a 6th gear, but I've had it up to 80mph on the freeway in 5th gear and it handles it well, just feels like I need to upshift to the non-existent 6th gear. Today I get the Chigee AIO 5 to install, if you don't know what that is, you should Google it. It adds a smart screen, along with front and back cameras, and blind side detection. It should be small enough to not take away from the aesthetics of the bike. Thanks for the video, I had a blast watching it. Ride safe!

If you are going 50 to 55 mph you should be in 5th gear. It's not a sport bike or a mustang, stay out of the high rpm keep it around 3,000 to 3,500 rpm.

I have kawasaki klx300 dual sport and wanted a cruiser. Got a 2009 kawasaki vulcan 900 8k miles for onky $2k . Its ridiculous how cheap these used bikes are and are reliable. I think the kawasaki vulcan beats the honda shadow and yamaha v star all daylong .

I have a 2001 that’s mint 14000 miles on it. I had a fall at work 12 yrs ago. After many surgeries I got it started up last week, ready to ride again. I forgot how fast it was!!!!

I have the same bike im in the uk so we start on 125cc i went from 125 to the fazer if you respect this machine it is very forgiving all in all it will keep up with anything out there and is very confidence inspiring enjoy it bro and keep hold of it the last of the carb'd machines will all be collectors items

"5th is too high" is something I have never heard from a Vulcan rider going > 50mph, as most of us are trying to shift out of 5th into a non-existent 6th gear. 😄 Nice video, I love the excitement.

It's crazy how triggered some people get over sound issues, with their incessant bitching and complaining if someone makes a noise that sets them off. So many times I see vlogger's apologizing profusely for wind or some other sound that enters into the video. I say fuck em. Great video and new subscriber here.

Man, you just bought back so much memories of me riding her home from the dealer that very first day. I was so excited and felt mostly the same way you felt. I was surprised in everyway in a good sense.

I'm just taking my first steps into the biker world, always dreamt of it as a kid but grew up in near-poverty and never was able to ride anything but pedal bikes. Now I'm 37, at a point where I'm (relatively, thanks canadian government) financially stable, and I inherited some cash from my grandmother. I purchased a 2011 Vn900 custom special edition last fall and i'm absolutely dying to get out and ride! I took the motorcycle beginner's course in 2022, rode a honda rebel 300 for most of it (god what an awful seat!), but i did take the opportunity to make a few laps around the parking lot on a ninja 125 that they had. Only positive opinion i have on crotch rockets is how easily they corner. Other than that, I don't like the riding position, i dont like the sound they make, hell I dont even like the way they look. The Vulcan 900 is a living legend. It’s a beautiful, simplistic, reliable cruiser.

Looks like you have the Holeshot exhaust, which I really like. Years back I was super tempted to add that to my 2002 FZ1. And I wouldn't doubt if you have either the Holeshot or Ivan's jet kits. I put Ivan's in mine and have custom front turn signals. Mine is pretty mint and I change the oil every year. 1 issue I've had is the clutch cable adjustment. If it gets too loose it can pop out of the bottom connection. If you look there is just a metal tab securing it, at least on the 2002. Just the other day I loosely wrapped some metal wire around it, but trying to think up something better. It did pop out on me once when I was riding, which wasn't too bad as I was able to pull over and let the bike stall, but don't want it to happen again.

Love my vulcan 900 custom bagger conversion. Upgraded from a shadow and never looked back. Next bike is definitely a kawai.

It depends on how much power your used to. You didnt mention the slow heavy steering more pronounced at low speeds speeds. The bike feels long, The tank adds to top heaviness feel when full 21litre this slows steering response. The fuel economy is excellent, The brakes are very powerfull maybe too much, The frame is so rigid that it transmits road shock up through the handle bars.

Sound of Vulcan 900 engine is very addictive, high rev V twin. It's always pleasure for me to ride Vulcan, and I choose it over Indian Chieftain 1800 that I have too.

I have a 2002 with 20,000 miles on it and I've had it to 160mph with a good bit of throttle left. If it won't hit 200mph it could get close to it for sure. It's a great bike and I don't mind it being a little heavy bcs it is really comfortable and stable on the road.
