First time in any videos I've seen the ROP folded down. I currently have a Kubota Z-421 Kommander Pro which is in great condition, with the Kawasaki FS730 engine. It's a nice mower but it's 8 years old now. I have some seasonal wet areas in my side pasture and the tracks would really help me in the early season. I think I'm going to look into this mower. The TRX 356 I believe will be the best size for my needs (2 acres) all mowed. I think I'll go with the all terrain track option. Any difficulty with the company, parts and such? I had never heard of the brand until today. Is it dependable? My Kubota has been very good as to reliability. Just had to rebuild 2 deck spindles this summer. Other than that, just routine service per the shop manual. Thanks for the video.
@@usethenoodle so I sold this mower. It was a great mower there was nothing wrong with it. Would mow anything you want I mowed 7 ft Johnson grass with out it if budging the power. It was way more mower then I needed. So that is why I sold it. Plus I don’t do great big yards any more. As far as parts. I believe Altoz is the only one you can buy the tracks from. But that was a while back when I sold it so there could be other company by now. Also regarding the tracks. If you are mowing any where close to water get the all terrain track the turf track you will get stuck. Also you saying something about the ROP being folded. I never mowed any where I would be able to roll it so never needed it up.
@@steelers454 Thanks for the reply. I have wet areas I can't get on until sometimes June. I have been using a DR String mower, self propelled to mow these wet spots which is way faster than my big Stihl weed eater (FS240) so that has helped, but using the zero turn with tracks looks like the ticket. I have 2 acres, most all of it is mowed. I found a new old stock unit a 2020 at a dealership south of me I may be able to make a deal on. I had planned on the all terrain tracks. I've stuck my Kubota Z-421 a couple times so I'm really careful to avoid the bad spots until things dry out. Again, thanks for the answer.
@ lol yea well you can still get it stuck so just don’t get to carry away lol
@ it is still pretty heavy in the rear
So it can only blow leaves on residential property On commercial property it won't blow the same leaves. You had to say it 9 times.
great video, but this is a horrible design from the factory
thanks yea it is they are great mowers just way to heavy for what i needed so i ended up selling mine.
that is a horrible design. They should have made it with a pressure cylinder (grease filled) like a skid steer, so that it can be done on the fly when out in the field and to allow for adjustments due to the tracks stretching (bad design).
U talk to much
What do I need to talk about?
You should not have to go in reverse on a zero turn
actually if you know anything about mowing with one of these mower you will. Because if you mow like a normal zero turn mower you would destroy the yard.
How do I replace the main track bearing?
The thing stupid over 20 grand he can’t have something to hold up the shoot I mean come on
Thanks for the video. Mine has had choke and fuel line issues unfortunately.
Great video you actually show step-by-step not just a before and after. Much appreciated!
What is the Waight of the blower?
Has anyone examined their wheel mowers and track mowers to see what the differences are as far as mounting the tracks?
The Altoz is a machine with impressive performance and when equipped with the Kohler motor powerful and reliable.
belle machine dommage qu'elle ne soit pas importé en France
This blower is absolutely horrible. Used it to clean my yard of leaves. Once I emptied the gas tank just one time, now it bogs down and shuts off after about 2 minutes of working properly. Every time I go to give it more power by squeezing the throttle, it literally bogs out and almost floods. Then trying to start it back up, you can never get it to blow leaves well afterwards. DO NOT BUY!!!
yes it was the blower is junk
MY 25 YEAR OLD DIESEL TRACTOR WITH 5FT BUSHHOG WOULD DO THAT FLAT TO THE GROUND IN 1 OR 2 PASSES AT MOST.. 5MINS JOB REALLY....
Why are you having to disengage the PTO so much? The grass looks like it’s already been cut? Very little difference in the pass you made by the sidewalk vs the next cut over?🤷🏻♂️
it was the incline of the ditch didn't want to scalp the ditch when I went down and back up Is all.
Bullshit he doesn't want to turn around on the grass he knows it'll tear it up
no I use to turn on the grass all the time. So you don't know what you are talking about.
I bet you replace belts all the time
nope never changed one belt
Don’t start blades at high rev
Before you buy these junk piles look how much tracks are. My OEM tracks ripped apart with around 200 hrs.
it probably depends on how rough you are with them. I had almost 200 hours on my mower before I sold it and my track where just fine.
@@steelers454 Wasnt rough on it. It stayed broke down most of the time,
@@kevinelliott6318 you must of had a lemon. I never had one problem with my mower and i mowed a lot of grass with it. to me it was a great mower. just didn't need it any more.
Available, 3 Hours on TX354 seattle.craigslist.org/sno/grd/d/lynnwood-altoz-trx354-zero-turn-track/7471259262.html
that is a good deal I had 130 hours on mine and sold it for 11500
Mr Kenneth dixon sir, you will have to put your question in the question Google bar for RUclips, but the 766 does infact have a shim system, I seen it and it looks like a part of the frame, or look into the 766 trx videos it's in there somewhere, the shim system isn't like adjusting a bolt n nut idea, it's an actual shim that gets slide into the part of the frame, it stretches the belt a little,
That's the exact question I needed answered . 👍✌✌
Built like a bulldozer and rides like a Cadillac, and I have already seen the disassembly of the sprocket drive to change off the driving track belt, really ingenious as crazy hell, I'm sold
i just sold my TRX mower was a great mower it will be missed but it was too much mower for what i do.
@@steelers454 instead of struggling to put the top piece back on why didn't you just turn the hub all the way to the bottom instead of only three quarters of the way. ?
@@carmichaelmoritz8662 because you can't there is a certain way you have to do it.
@@steelers454 why would the top section of the sprocket be any different from the bottom section of the sprocket. looks like both halves are the same and since you took the bottom part off basically horizontal one would figure you could do the same to the top part when you turn it to the bottom
@@carmichaelmoritz8662 because if I remember right the one I stuck on first with the sticker has a cut out that the other one set into, I don't have the mower any more. so I can't check to make sure. but that is what feel like that is why you have to do it that way.
The tires, wheel system on that altoz, the tracks system for the back drive and the solid tires in the front definitely beats having to wonder about keeping them tires aired up ,and between 66" inch cut path ,that's a 5 1/2 ft wide deck, and 37 hp Kohler motor, and the air ride seat, maybe even having an extra switch out mower deck, O yeah, I think it's a fuel capacity of 14 gallons , It sounds like a no brainer to me,
Was thinking of getting one of these but after reading some of these comments I’m not so sure, do you think I should get one or no
no dont
@@steelers454 ok, thanks for the feedback, I’m now thinking of getting either The husqvarna 570BTS or the Echo pb755st
Need a video on a hills I have slopes in my backyard
hi sorry i dont really have one of steep hills but if you get one get the all terrain tracks and you have no problem mowing on a slope.
wow no one cares about this stuff
ugh why is there no sound so boring to watch
ugh just quit yt all ready
wow no one cares
this is the absolute worst video EVER so cringe lol
Hi I'm thinking about purchasing this trx have you had any issues with your mower since purchased? Also when you have grass that tall start off at a higher cutting height and make you first cut then drop another inch or so the cut again then finally at the height you want it to stay. It helps to keep the clipping smaller!! Keep on doing what you are doing improve everyday
Hi Micheal, Love the mower. No I have not had any major issues sense I have had the mower and going on three years and it has 130 hours on it. the only thing I have had was in the the gas tank on one side where you fill it there was a metal ring/ tube that fell inside the tank. they redesigned it now so it in on the top of the filler instead of inside. but it happen during the warranty year so no cost to me. no other issues. I have both style of tracks and used both. I would say if you are not going to use it for finish yard go with all terrain tracks. But if you are going to use it for a finish yard go with turf. Also thinks for the advice. I hope I answered your question. if you get one i have other video on how to changed the track and shim them if you ever need to do any of that.
@@steelers454 thanks again for the feedback

what the hell..are you a rookie?
why you say that? and no i'm not!
Why is he not making any tight turns I guess it’s not a zero turn. We will call it a wide turn only!!!
lol! well it might not turn like a normal zero turn but I have mowed stuff down that your normal zero turn would not even try to mow down.
How does this do when turning? does it tear the grass up much?
it does just fine if you know what your doing. it don't tear it up any worse then a normal zero turn.
Great job. I went to the GIE landscaping Expo today and checked out the 54. I think that’s the one for me but with the all terrain tracks. I got a quote for the 66 before I came to the expo but after seeing the 54 I am sold.
they are a great machine!!
@@steelers454 axdddx
Maintenance cost too high.
nope i have 120 hours on my machine and only changed the oil and fixed a few wear items
Looks like you’re using about 40-45” of the 54” mowing deck
You missed a spot 😂
lol I don't mow that yard anymore I told him I was going to have to charge him more for how far it was to drive and he didn't want to pay more so I dropped him lol.
junk...tube is very flimsy and it is very hard starting....when it was new easy starting then after a year not good...same thing with their hand held...good for the trash
What type grass is that?
Bermuda grass I believe
Good to know there's a dealer in BA. What did you pay out the door if you don't mind me asking?
13,500
I'm glad to hear you haven't had any issues with it thus far
just bought it , right gas and all, but won't start, any suggestions, 2 days old
take it back and get your money back lol
How long does a set of tracks last and what does replacements cost? Have you had any trouble with them coming off? Thanks!
Hi Austin replacement time frame on the tracks all depend on what you are driving over.. If you just stay on grass then I would probably say they would last 500 to 700 hours. But if you are hard on them and driving on concrete and over rocks a lot you light only get 250 hours out of a set. the replacement cost of the tracks are $1200 to 1400 a set. I have both types of tracks and I have never had them come off. The way they are designed they should not come off. Hope this helps.
How many hours do you have on it? Have you had any issues?
Hey Charles I just rolled over 101 hours with zero mechanical problem just changed the oil for the second time it is a beast...
Personally wouldn’t use this mower for many residential yards due to the tracks they will tear more grass more than tires ever do that’s just a fact but for mowing pond banks ditch’s and places tractors with brush hogs can’t go this would be great also it just looks cool and I’m a huge fan of tracks but there just not made for everyday use on residential turf unless you make like a 6 point turn but looks cool I have heard some bad things about altoz as a company not sure if there true but they do have a great idea with tracked mowers I wish they maybe made track conversion kits for other mowers and good luck to you sir
The tracks actually do not tear up the ground as many think. If used properly it tears less than a wheeled zero turn. I’ve used these Altoz mowers and they are a quality product.
Man this is killing me to watch! Bud I’m sorry but u just r not good at cutting grass!
OK so you some pro at cutting grass? For two that grass was so thick I had to mow it some how. All the grass you see piled up by the fence was not there when I got done. so don't judge until you know the hole story.
You should learn correct grammar before criticizing someone.
I bet your mom is?
How are the strips on this machine here in kentucky good lines is a must
Hey Melvin it depends on the grass but they do sell a stripping kit for them. just the yards I mow I don't need a stripping kit for them.
