I live at the bottom of Broker's Nose, the old stuff is from the coal mine, There are abandoned train tracks, I found coal trolleys, machinery, etc... along the escarpment from Mt Keira to Bulli... The trees are cut if there are electric cables above , a helicopter scans the area twice a month and GPS marks risky trees... I bumped into the tree guys a few times. Also when the miners from Russel Vale patrol and clear trees near the creeks to avoid flooding the plant down below.

You can get on top of the tunnel by an access road into national park on the right hand side going down to Woy Woy from the Gosford road. Get a Topographical map. It should be obvious.

See if you can find the air vent at the half way point.

I don't believe a lone person acted here. In the early days of Wollongong there was a coal mine below Brokers Nose, the ramp for the rail tracks is visible on Google Earth, now overgrown. ADIT is a term used for underground mine ventilation shafts that I've heard about in other podcasts. Show some evidence to support the story about this soldier, otherwise I'm not convinced.
