That jingle is the October 2023 theme from the ReelWorld One AC monthly updating service using the WLIT logo.

With them having a "Kiss FM" RDS it makes me think that they're trying to bring the name back, just with a hot AC format (since Kiss was rhythmic, it would be redundant with G105 existing) and without the pitch Side note: what's with the sound?

I was wondering why I was only hearing Hannah lately...loved them both together. I know 107.5 KZL had layoffs recently, which affected Intern Squidward who felt like a staple team member.

Hopefully those layoffs ease off... I swear if they cancel the WEBN fireworks for good in Cincinnati (a market that iHeart has stations in) over these budget cuts, iHeart's gonna be in PR trouble.

My local BBN station actually relays SMWs... in addition to TORs. I actually heard a TOR go off as soon as I went into an Asian grocery store since they usually blast this station (but on 99.7).

And that started a slew of EAS alerts all afternoon, along with WRAL interrupting nBc’S cOvErAgE oF tHe TwEnTy TwEnTy FoUr PaRiS oLyMpIcS…

I miss Pigeon Forge... I was in this area two years ago and this station was what I heard all over town, right up until the Smoky Mountains ate Star and even Kiss Country when I left. Also, when you got the tape, I was in Florida ending my Kraken curse at SeaWorld and I just left shy of 4pm. *XL106.7 jingle intensifies*

Just a guess here but I think it's some kind of multi-band compression. Not digital compression like recording a CD to mp3 to shrink the file size but compression of the amplitude of the audio wave. Kinda like having an equalizer where each individual band is compressed independently. I think that's what I'm hearing because KFFB, a nostalgia station in my area sounds this way. When they play an oldie that I have on CD, the difference is aparent in the lows and highs, but really the whole audio band. This smooths out the differences between songs and keeps levels at a constant volume to overcome noise in the received signal as well as environmental noise such as driving or listening at work. Very clean capture.

So I'm assuming that WTKK has local reporters, or it's just a statewide network that the station just so happens to be the primary station for. On a side note, if it's possible could you capture some of those Olympic updates that the owners of this station happen to spam on G105 and the other stations?
