Good concept 👍
Thank you 🙏
Good drill.
Thank you 🙏
Remember seeing Nick Kyrgios faking his intention by moving his head to the left and then hitting to right.
Well done 👍
Thank you so much!
If I have to call out too many things, I think it could mess up my concentration on the ball.🤣
😂😂😂😂 you will be ok I’m sure 💪
Sick drills! Thanks a lot
Glad you like them!
Well done, very interesting. Great job!
We hope you found it helpful 💪
Best video!
Thank you so much!
Where u at coach?
Melbourne Australia!
Ouucjhhhh 😶🌫️
Is that a specific rule for second serve ? Bcs pro tend to do it not as hard as first serve? Or is it only bcs of "scared of double fault " mentality?
@@Inthenameofjustice7 great questions. The serve speed will always be slower because the spin rate will be higher. The reason for increased racket head speed is to ensure we can add more spin revolutions on the ball making it dip into the court.
I have started doing this as well...I had plenty of double faults initially, but started getting more control over time and they reduced.
That’s awesome to hear. Basically the more revolutions you can get on the ball the more it will dip into the court. Just keep swinging 💪
Bendiciones
I will try this, my doubles partner might hate me in the beginning but i will try 😅
@@fivos833 your doubles partner will love you in the long run as they will get easier volleys from a bigger serve 😊💪
I keep telling myself not to wimp-out on my second serve! ACCELERATE!
@@123Rockchild love that 💪
Which club in Australia?
@@watcher687 we are in Melbourne Australia
@ Yep, I had a feeling that might be the case. Fellow Melbournian here!
@ that’s awesome. Thanks for reaching out 🙏
Hello
hi there
Great simple comments BUT you didn’t keep going, play middle is great, but I guess you meant that we should wait for a short ball and only then attack aggressively? Also, if they want linear and lateral, we probably need to bring them to the net with a short ball in the middle of the court (slice or flat)? If they aren’t missing when you move them around they aren’t missing middle either. So you may want to follow up on how to finish the point, not just play the point in the next installment? Thanks for the sound advice! Waiting for part 2 on this
Absolutely spot on!!! playing middle reduces the angles and makes the counter puncher have to hit targets from the centre of the court. Once a slower or shorter ball has been given to you then its important to spread the court when you are in offense, and take control.
Interesting- very good.
thank you very much
😂 love it
hahaha so did we lol
Great!!! Thanks
thank you very much
@thetennismenu - big thanks for the video. Could you please post a video sometime on how to “move the opponent” on the court and how to develop a good directional control.
Yeah sure, we have a filming day coming up in a few weeks so ill make sure we add that to our list.
@ thanks!
I agree you probably need to do lots of multi-tasking exercises because, 1. Coaches will tell you not be in "no mans land" but that's impossible to remember when you're overwhelmed with everything else occurring while playing. 2. the serve requires the tossing and readying of the hitting arm which is a complex motion involving both arms you have to master.
Its so true. the brain is always in overload on match day. keeping it simple is critical.
Nice exercises 👏🏿
Thank you ❤
Agree but Alcaraz has a pause and he has a pro level first serve and a nasty kicker😂 Btw, I don’t have a pause on my serve but noticed his and it works very effectively for him. Tennis requires high level of timing so if a pause enhances that, then stick to it.
It is important that you use what is best for you. 💪
If your going to illustrate her serve then for God's sakes show the height of the toss unless you just want to show this average looking woman for clicks. Clowns.
I love how competitive she is and doesnt even try and hide it
I dont like her, so sneaky and cocky
Oh boo hoo worlds smallest violin LOL💀you thinks she cares anything about what you got to say!? Your sadly mistaken
How is she going to cope knowing you don't like her?!
That’s what confidence does to you. You know you are that good and you are going to hit every note perfectly without fault. Your natural instinct is the first thing that comes to your mind and comes out of your mouth unknowingly.
GOAT ❤
Girl loveee the hair and color!!
i see what you're getting at but isn't this just the basics of how to beat every player? move them, keep them on defense, and attack second serves? can't this be applied to literally everyone? nice concept but you'll have to go into deeper detail
@@jdolla8530 thanks for the message and questions. Not necessarily the same for everyone. For example, when coaching against Rafa our plan was to keep the game linear, take away angles and keep the ball centralized as much as possible. We had a plan to also play flatter and give him less time. It also depends on the kind of player you are, playing to your strengths and ensuring to keep the match on your terms. We have more context in our book “Mastering Tennis Tactics”. www.thetennismenu.com/shop
Just gonna say why are u standing there for the volly u can get passed so easily
Dude needs to do more of the boring stuff- strength and conditioning.
Bro couch just danceing on floar
If the same was done by Djokovic, he would have been heavily criticized! Facts
!!
It can also jam them, push them back since the end of a service motion is inside the court, hitting it straight at them gives them less time, forcing them backwards

wow. I loved it when people returning right at the server. Easy next shot and you can dictate right away. Plus serve volley would be great. Just return crosscourt to take away angles or down the line is the serve is weak.
@@paalpaal1326 on a second serve we absolutely encourage to be on offence. First serve return strategies are based around neutralize the point first then try to dictate post the return. Unless the player is Agassi 😂
it will also take away the servers angles and will force them to play a neutral shot that can neutralize the entire point
This is so sexist
Iga 😍
Looks like good form
Forehands are for offense not defense
Tennis ball and basketball I think
Omg that trick shot return was sick
just illusion
😢😢
After watching this interview I’m SO glad he’s not going into commentary. He should just GO
