At least you have an airsep to get rid of the rocks. But the spuds are beat up already.
We also have a lot of rocks in our fields, but we run a destoner through the soil before we plant the potatoes
They did as well but since there was so many rocks they couldn’t get everything. I also videos for a machinery company called Treadstone which sells and rents out Elho Scorpio 550 which is a rock picker and does a very good job. You can also check out the videos of those rock pickers on my profile. They do an amazing job.
That's one way to get the rocks out of the field. I have been on an older potato combine where we had a bunch of people on it trying to get the rocks out before it went onto the truck. I like this way better.
Yes and then you put it on the conveyor and the conveyor has a part that separates rocks and then you have people in an assembly line for the rocks that don’t get separated.
Are those rocks in the load?
Yes they are. But that’s normal since fields are not free of rocks. They picked rocks a little bit before planting but you can’t get everything right? Just a common thing for potato farmers you can say.
