I always thought joker was a person who struggled to fit into society, was succeeding, BUT has "the bad day" where he realizes he Hates the act. The day where he just can no longer bare performing for the masses, and finally clicks into being himself. He may be broken but he is alive. He might be a psycho but he finally feels free in the land of the free. So yea, I could totally see your vision for joker working. The only thing holding it back would be the media's portrayal of many black psycho Americans who have clicked into a joker like form of freedom taking away the novelty of it... Loc Dog from menace to society come to mind (This is the second old ass reference I've given today so I am starting to feel really old...) because he is basically a modern styled joker. He doesn't wear makeup but he is just a character they made free from the restraints of society. I would be more surprised if I heard heath ledger didn't think of the loc dog character than that he did since he had a definite feel of him with whimsy layered on top. Probably over thinking this.

Recent depictions of the Joker have been very political & more focused - less I just want to watch the world burn, & more, we’ve messed up so badly that razing it might be the only option. Harley Quinn the Animated Series had Joker proudly declare that he is a socialist & that the rich in Gotham (and the US in general) are the real villains, and the Batman:White Knight series really dives into that dynamic and reveals to Batman (in a very uncharacteristic moment of post-bat-clarity) that he is harming the poor WAY more than he is helping. I think a Joker who wants to eat the rich is just the logical step as the middle class erodes away and the wealth gap becomes more evident. I would love to see a depiction of the Joker that properly addresses code switching; instead of a guy just suddenly losing it, the building up of tension and loss (or never really having a great sense) of identity because the character has to be one thing to one society and other to another and the internal schism that can create being the underlying cause of the madness would be so cool. He is a very performative character, and I say this as maybe the whitest human being on earth, I think a lot of the concern for depicting Joker as black is in the character design; if I draw a white person in a purple zoot suit, it’s fun, if I draw a black person in one, someone might think I’m implying something illegal/immoral (which I realize is silly, as he is a criminal, but it is what it is lol). The Strange Case of Harleen & Harley features a black Jack Napier as a crime boss, and the design was very cute and contemporary (green hair, no spats). They didn’t get into his life, as he is a background character, but it has been established as a possibility, now it’s just a matter of getting DC & WB to hear what the people consuming their products want (and hoping they don’t 💩 the bed with it) haha

Jared Leto's joker was about as close as we're ever going to get to black joker in the movies and that shit was a fucking train wreck. That said, considering all the multiverse shenanigans, I'm sure there's a black joker out there somewhere in the comics. Good luck digging it up though.

Is this serious or a joke? cause it seems laughable and a horrible idea...here's a thought try to come up with something new? just a thought...I mean why keep trying to turn white things into black...just think of your own...as for this idea....you have the idea you want a black guy to run around telling jokes and dancing while killing and robbing without a care.....sounds like every Friday night here in the USA, hell yu can't fart without another race of some kind pardoning you in a language you don't even want to here, much less know.....sooo yeah, just too much reality for me, and too much of "I just want to copy someone's homework" take little orphan annie with Jamie Fox, movie was a classic, yet he played in the remake and it sucked horribly, not that it was bad, just two problems with it, first wrong time period so not the same audience, and second you can't force a classic....so if black Americans want to leave a mark on the American cinema I hope they will find a way to tell their own stories as I have many african american friends that have great imaginations and creative abilities.

I'm getting your point as well, I've noticed more recently that despite skills, social media is just as much of a gamble for breaking through the algorithm as anything else - knowing someone to help boost that chance can end up being more valuable in the long run than getting a straight up payout. Honestly great video. I’m an incoming investment banker and what I will say about financial literacy and where it usually goes wrong is when people live above their means. If you were to receive a million dollars don’t go out and buy a depreciating asset like a lambo for $250k that’s more than 1/4 of your wealth (after taxes). It’s important to be comfortable but you also have to sustain that level of comfort. At the end of the day it’s really about who you know, make connections with people who will bring you farther in life. Investing is an important aspect to wealth but that doesn’t mean throwing your money into some random stock someone on the internet told you about. Do your research! Index funds are a good place to start.
