Mitch Miller's Gang Sings a Torch Song
Просмотров 914 месяца назад
I asked myself the musical question, what would Mitch Miller's chorale sound like singing a torch song? I took an original song called "Hard-Hearted," and spent Friday recording a sing-along I wrote for Mitch's "gang," while faithful in spirit, totally inappropriate lyrically. Enjoy!

Movie Dialogue: Crap vs. Craft

Filmmakers, chiefly screenwriters, today don't really have a grasp of their craft. Taking cues from soap operas, rather than literature, we have not learned the lessons from the Hollywood masters of the past.

There is a lovely chord progression that is not part of the official CASABLANCA film score. Sam plays it as Rick drunkenly muses at the bar. It's a lovely piece, and it is sad that Rick cuts Sam off as it heads to more interesting places.

I wanted a front bumper shot for my web series, The Fez Belcher Show, so at 2am I drove to 10th Avenue, clamped a camera bracket on the front hood of my car, put my taxi driving skills to work, and this is the result. This is the raw footage. About 25 seconds was used in the edited cut.
The "Wrap-Around Shot"
Просмотров 823 года назад
in 1970's films, the use of lightweight hand held cameras gave us this shot. Both inviting intimacy and suspense, the wrap-around shot was a hallmark of filmmakers like William Friedkin, Sidney Lumet and Robert Altman. It fell out of favor by the mid-1970's, perhaps with the advent of Steadicam, and is rarely seen in movies these days. It's a simple shot, but it packs a wallop.

Good sound... But too bad about the toy whale.
B.S. edit There’s a better, more accurate one in another video, w/ “Real Footage” in the title.
Is this a true story?
It's based on a true story (I think) but the true story is more terrifying in my opinion
The real hunt for "Mocha Dick" on which Melville based this novel was almost infinitely more horrible, because the whale sank the ship but left the men in the boats alone... in the middle of the Pacific off any ship routes, to eventually revert to cannibalism!
The direction is surprising for the time, you don't need CGI to tell a good story, this is art, totally handmade, just like Planet Krypton when it appears on the screen in Superman the movie, exciting and visceral!
It could be argued that this was the moment where the 1960s became the 1960s.
Why all the cropping
I’m hearing shots. Let’s slow down. Wait that’s a third shot. Better go really fast.
Oswald was a patsy after spending a lifetime working for the intelligence agencies in the US and the USSR. The CIA, FBI, NSA, and very dark additional forces in the US government got rid of Kennedy for multiple reasons. 1) He was working to avoid war with the Soviets and Cuba, 2) Kennedy refused Operation Northwoods as a means to justify war with Cuba, 3) Kennedy refused to send in additional air power to support the Bay of Pigs, and 4) Kennedy bucked his generals in handling the Cuban missile crisis.
My English Class finished watching the movie today. Credit to everyone that made this film for the excellent climax & ending.
Who's here after they defeat Bayle the Dread with a help with Igon the Drake Warrior 😂
Incorrect
Ain’t gone lie I’m here from BMF I ain’t know what they was talm bout
CURSE YOU BAYLE
It didn't happen this way. The second and third shots were right on top of another... witnesses have claimed. Also, HSCA claimed in 1977 that there was a conspiracy of a second gunman. Based on research, there were at least 4 teams, 6 to 8 shots. Remnants of bullets hitting the sidewalk, the grass and James Tague under the overpass getting hit with a bullet fragment. 3 shots from behind by a single shooter never happened.

CURSE YOU BAYLE!!!!!!
Behold! A true drake warrior! *points to the player character wearing a pot on his head* and I Igon!!
CURSE YOU WHALE!!!
I always cheer for the whale.
Driver was in on it, he slowed down so they could get a better shot. Was all planned inside. Operation starfall
Why was Bill Cooper so adamant that Greer shot him from the drivers seat? And he used this film as the reason. Greers hand never left the steering wheel and what looked like a pistol was nothing but the sun reflecting off of Kellermans hair. His book says how Bob Grodin wouldn’t debate him on this aspect. I don’t know why. It’s easily provable that Greer didn’t shoot JFK. Cooper was another disinformation agent.

Death of Captain Ahab by Moby Dick RIP of Captain Ahab 🪦
Il mare Il mare Il mare
i think the gunshot timing is off
No, it’s accurate. Taking into account where Kennedy was when he was shot in the skull, and where Oswald was shooting from, which was a far corner on the sixth floor of the Texas schoolbook depository building, the bullets travel speed (about 2,300 feet per second), there would be around a .5 second delay between Oswald firing the rifle and the bullet striking Kennedy.
@@OfficialDrize um then the second shot should’ve been quicker than .5 since the gunman on the fence was way closer to the limo
Very few people realize that Captain Ahab references "Nietzsche states explicitly that eternal recurrence requires both circular time and our common conception of time as an infinite, linear A series.".....When Captain Ahab states...."We are turned round and round in this world like yonder windlass"
god i do not care what anyone says, his head CLEARY recoils backwards. so yeah, he wasnt shot from BEHIND. use your fuckin eyes jesus.
His head clearly moves FORWARD first.
@@gooseholla1 he was shot twice, what you’re referring too is the first shot to the back of his neck. I’m talking about the second shot to the top of his skull.

A stunning & brilliant film which has stood the test of time, as good now as it was when it was first made. Btw, l was on Moby Dicks side.
Poderia postar dublado completo.
I have to ask, maybe you guys can help with this. In the new series that came out, Octopus Murders, FBI agent reveals an interesting secret. He said the zapruder film is altered. Please find out what happened to that tree in that Zapruder film while JFK passes on Elm street, the tree is beside the street light, in front of the white wall. Today, there is no trace of there ever being a tree in that exact place on Google Maps 360 view. Please help to find out if there ever was a tree there, if not, the Zapruder film is definitely altered. The only trees we see today are in fact, behind the white wall. Definitely not in front of that wall, beside the street light as shown on the Zapruder film
Maybe the tree was cut down
The tree has either died or cut down, you figure that’s be over sixty years old,YOU MORON.
let's take a moment to remember that if it was not for the beginning of the oil industry whales, for the most part, would be extinct today.
The most reliable earwitness account was by the reporters in the follow-up vehicles, chiefly Merriman Smith of UPI. Seconds after the shots were fired, Smith grabbed the carphone and called his NY headquarters. This is exaclty what he said: "Three shot were just fired at the presidential motorcade! Make it a bulletin precede!" Smith had no time to considér the circumstance, he just reported. On the press bus, NBC's Robert McNeil and Time Magazine's Hugh Sidey reported it exactly the same way.
Assuming logically, that the sound would be recorded from Zapruder's vantage point, since the rounds are supersonic, the impacts should come before the blasts. The further away the shooter, the longer the delay in sound.
Moby Dick died, but Ahab and the Pequod went down as well
WRONG!!!...Moby Dick LIVED!!!!....You are confusing Moby Dick with Jaws!!!...Mark J
Oswald was the only one who didn't fire a gun
He fired three shots. Two of them missed and one of them hit Connally.
@@JewandGreek I was alive I was reading the newspapers that day he didn't shoot anybody, how old are you snowflake, obviously you believe everything you read

James files can be ignored
To me, there is almost no doubt that the last shot came from the front right. Kennedy's body was driven back and to the side. There had to have been a shooter in the grassy knoll area, no?
Rarely mentioned is the fact that Kennedy was wearing a torso hugging, very tight plastic and metal brace, which held him stiffly upright. His body could not fall forward so he is being 'mechanically' held up, creating the appearance of a shot from the front.
@@davidrusso1280 huh
F'ing driver.
This has been explained umpteen time by physicians, neurologists, forensic experts. His movements were consistent with sudden cerebral spams, coupled with his back brace held his body up and stiff. There is nothing here that suggests a front shot.
@@davidrusso1280 I could tell that, in the frames he goes back his arms go up with him. That brain was still sending a signal for a few breif moments. What these people who keep repeating back and to the left don't realize is if you watch this frame by frame you see both his head and upper back go forward from frame 312 to 313.
From the momentum of his body going back from the head shot proves it was 2 shooters that got off they shots... I've heard it was 5 shooters in total located in the area...can we say inside job???
If you freeze it at 21 seconds the driver is holding the gun? They just told it on the octopus murders documentary released today too.
LOL his camera didn't have a microphone in 1963....... U could put a machine gun sound over it next time round
Wrong. The police audio of Dealey Plaza clearly shows shots 3 and 4 fired almost simultaneously. Here only one shot is depicted.
Ummmm Lee Oswald wasnt the only shooter or perhaps the only shooter that day.THEY GOT THE WRONG GUY as the shooter.
Fake! There were more than three shots. At least one shot came from the fence.
There was a shot or two from the FRONT! Not all the shots came from the rear.Look at the James Files confession.
This isnt accurate because NUMEROUS eyewitness heard the last two shots on top of each other. Not bang....bang......bang.There were at least 4 or 5 shots. The cars windshield had two bullet holes in the front!
No, the most reliable witnesses were the reporters in the press vehicles behind the motorcade. They ALL reported three shots. These include Merriman Smith (UPI), Robert McNeil (NBC News) and Tom Wicker (NY Times).
amazing
