Haha they’re always kept clean from sweat, dust, and whatever dirty hands do to basses. I use lemon and orange oil for the cleaning. Sometimes boiled linseed oil for the Thumb bodies and necks. I haven’t waxed them in years, not to say that you shouldn’t. Kade 🎸

@ my thumb showed up early and I absolutely wore my fingers out playing it all night. First impressions: it’s surprisingly tonally versatile, not something I anticipated. The preamp is the most musical and usable of any of my Warwicks. The b string is the tightest and most defined of any 34” scale bass I’ve ever played and it’s not close. It seems to demand fast playing for whatever reason. Also to make that growl all I had to do was plug it in with a flat eq. The sustain is absurd. I clocked the b ringing for 27 seconds. It’s a fascinating instrument, almost sounds like a synth to my ears at times especially on the higher strings

It definitely doesn’t lack low end haha. The recordings I’ve used it on all have the lows fairly present. You can tighten it no doubt playing with attack/release. They’re just an amazing compressor all round 🤘🏻🎸

@@mmmetalwolf Then you would know I’m not using an amp haha. It’s a blend of the gear, the bass, and the strings for the sound. You can’t have one without the other.
