Hello Doc-tomy Girl, can you explain me the relation about calcification of the stylohyoid ligament and tinnutus? which nerve is compressed on this process?
Glossopharyngeal nerve (C.N. IX ) passes deep to the styloid process during it’s course , so when the styloid process is enlarged/calcification of the stylohyoid ligament causes referred Italian to the ipsilateral ear through glossopharyngeal nerve.
