So much nostalgia. I remember watching this as a kid, but I would get bored after a while. They'd play it for almost 5 minutes or 10 minutes. Like come on and get on with the movie already.
That's true, but they also played it in the auditoriums while the CinemaSounds/MovieTunes were playing prior to the show as well, since there wasn't any audio.
Interesting part of the old AMC presentation. Do you have the old AMC Theaters Emergency Exit policy that they used to show before movies in the 2000s? I haven't been able to find it anywhere.
When I was 6 going to see Spider-Man 3 at amc, I still remember this intro while sitting in the Theaters, smelling the popcorn scent, and literally excited to see what I was about to see.
Sonic The Hedgehog I was creative director for AMC’s on screen advertising at the time. It was used when all of the preshow entertainment and advertising was over in case the movie didn’t start on time.
I probably remember seeing this at AMC Braintree 10 only ONCE before “Kangaroo Jack” or that we were late during the previews, though I remember seeing a split second of this (must’ve been mixed error lol) before Ice Age 3 in a different AMC out of state. I feel like I have completely missed out on everything AMC put in before the previews and feature presentation due to our local AMC that’s 14 miles from home. Now we don’t mind the drive there due to the recliners-era (but not only that, other of our theaters I mentioned below have recliners). During my childhood, we’ve always sticked with Hoyts in Brockton (now a Dick’s Sporting Goods; then moved to Westgate Mall from across), Showcase in Randolph, and Regal in Taunton (which was also a Hoyts; now permanently closed) So as I mentioned about the recliners at AMC, pre-2013, despite the fact I’ve heard much about AMC as a kid, was the time we didn’t go to AMC very often, not only for the long drive from home, but due to high ticket and concession prices (though they were cheaper at that time as if those early prices would be in the present). As a Regal-goer, I only grew up with NCM’s cinema ad content, long before AMC and Cinemark (along with other theater circuits) joined the company. Edit and update: I know it’s TLDR sorry and had a lot to say, but I gotta say I wish I experienced more of AMC’s old preshow, but I was still too young during that time, plus we didn’t have enough standard AMCs as most of ours were former General Cinema theaters. The former one at Mountain Farms Mall in Hadley, however, was the last AMC of all NE until Assembly Row in Somerville. Sad news is I’m starting not to like Regal as much after the sudden closure in Taunton we go all the time (stuck in Bellingham after that), and the switch from Coke to Pepsi due to Cineworld
YESSS!!!!! I’m sorry, however, but more on the Regal side I grew up closely way more than AMC coz my local AMC isn’t really close to home, and Regal is more of my childhood. The year would be the years before the Noovie-era (The 2wenty and FirstLook), meaning 2003 was the year NCM introduced digital content rather than the traditional ad slides in silence before previews. Can’t really remember what The 2wenty music sounded like since we won’t find a video of it on YT at all, but I really do miss the previous and older FirstLook music (post-2wenty until late-September 2017) very much it reminds me of my childhood at the movies. If I was born in 1987 and have my own car or take the T, I’d be able to go to the movies as often not only for the movie itself but for these preshowings... until Noovie was introduced (meaning I wouldn’t be able to arrive as early as much), when in real life I was just a little one being accompanied with a parent. Oddly enough, I’m getting used to this current pros-and-cons cinema advertising, but thankfully, I will always think about my childhood past of seeing FirstLook during the Noovie-era. But yeah, despite the discomfort of the seats and the fact there were no recliners at the time, I would definitely go back to 2003 until the Noovie-era just for NCM’s older preshowings I’ll never forget, and just record them with my iPhone when no one in the audience can’t see me 😂 Update: I know, sorry for long paragraph. Going to the movies are my life
I miss those days. However, I am glad that it's been uploaded on this semi-time machine called RUclips. I can listen to it in full as well. I never heard it in full in theaters.
And now the not-so-good Noovie at all AMC, Regal, and Cinemark theaters. But FirstLook and Noovie are all the same, so it’s just cinema advertising. I like them both (and both their music) tbh. In fact, I have never ever seen the MovieWatcher Network due to our local AMC (formerly a General Cinema) that’s 14 miles from home (we now go there only on occasion since the recliners-era). I might’ve seen the pre-showing of it before “Kangaroo Jack” or that I might’ve been late, but I feel like I have missed out completely on that old pre-showing.
The Program now is actually called AMCstubs. First Look is just a pre-show kind of thing with behind-the-scenes looks for an upcoming movie and some other stuff.
So much nostalgia. I remember watching this as a kid, but I would get bored after a while. They'd play it for almost 5 minutes or 10 minutes. Like come on and get on with the movie already.
Who was the voice you hired for these promos? I remember him being in many of the AMC bumper reels.
Can someone please tell me what’s the name of the song and the artist too please, cause I really love this childhood song
Do you know the music for this?
I remember this before any of the real trailers come out. Back in my days in either Bay Plaza or Empire 25.
This would most likely play on the small tvs above the concession stands
That's true, but they also played it in the auditoriums while the CinemaSounds/MovieTunes were playing prior to the show as well, since there wasn't any audio.
I miss old AMC 😢
Me too
Loved this music…why did they have to change all of this?
Interesting part of the old AMC presentation. Do you have the old AMC Theaters Emergency Exit policy that they used to show before movies in the 2000s? I haven't been able to find it anywhere.
The Music Is So Magical!! Almost As If You’re Actually In The Theater Waiting For Commercials Before The Previews!!🍿🥤🎟️🎬
When I was 16 seeing Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
When I was 12 going to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire at AMC Theatres
*I feel like I’ve been here before* *2009-2011* Was this your doing?

Nostalgia

I remember this Ahhhh The good ole days
When I was 6 going to see Spider-Man 3 at amc, I still remember this intro while sitting in the Theaters, smelling the popcorn scent, and literally excited to see what I was about to see.
First time I saw this, was when I saw Spider-Man 2 in theaters back in 2004
It's a shame they don't make this AMC theater's commercial Pre show loop anymore Because I love it.
Actually You people will know what it's like to watch AMC Theaters commercial pre show loop in 3-D

Sorry it scared you but that’s pretty funny.
This one is from 2002-2009
Oh I remember this on a Saturday afternoon in the mid 2000s! Nostalgia & a more relaxed way of life than today!
I remember this as the kid
What year is that in
I animated it in 2003.
@Tom Stack Then tell me why did you made a animation in 2003
Sonic The Hedgehog I was creative director for AMC’s on screen advertising at the time. It was used when all of the preshow entertainment and advertising was over in case the movie didn’t start on time.
@Tom Stack What 2003 movie is been animation by
Sonic The Hedgehog This was not for a particular movie. It was part of AMC’s preshow advertising. It played before any movie that was late starting.
This was great! I used to see this in the AMC theater when I was 6 and a half.
In 2002
Good movie
I remmeber hearing this when I go to Deerbrook's AMC 24.
I didn't see this, but the music is catchy. thanks!!! I go to amc classic and amc at IMAX.

AMC Altamonte Mall 18 here! SUCH a good preshow. I always looked forward to this, and I was always mad when it switched too soon!
yeah i remember it too when i was a kid
@@MugenFanatic2017 Me too!
Does anyone else ever wish they had a time machine to the past just so they could hear and see this playing in an AMC theater again?

This Bumper Is Taken From 2002 Until 2011 When They Changed From AMC MovieWatcher Network To AMC FirstLook

Yeah. It used to be AMC MovieWatcher Network from 2002 until 2011, it became AMC FirstLook. But now since 2017, it became the current name, Noovie.
thank you so for this
i just loved this so ,it has so many memories for me
