I bought this album long time ago at Princeton Record Exchange and I didn't like it. I still have to keep in my Satchmo collection but this shouldn't have been recorded. This was after his manager Joe Glaser passed because I'm sure that Joe wouldn't have recommended that Louis did this album. His last good album in his later years was "What A Wonderful World". He did one after that called "I Will Wait For You" which had one or two good songs but they tried revamp "Wonderful World" with a song called "I Believe". There's Louis singing "Sunrise, Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof which wasn't good. Another song that he did from around that time was "That's All I Want the World to Remember Me By", a good song. After he did that album, he did "Louis and Friends" which I didn't like. It was too "hippy-ish". Peace and love and all that. It has a few good songs and they wanted to have Louis cover The Beatles song "Let It Be" but they chose "Give Peace a Chance" instead. Very preachy type of record, in my opinion. I would say his last jazz album was "I will wait for you" as the last two albums were more pop and country. It just didn't seem right hearing him sing those types of songs. I forgot to mention that another one of his last albums was "Disney Songs the Satchmo Way" which was a decent record but his horn playing wasn't nowhere tas good as it was on his WC Handy record back in 1957.
