AHHHHHHHHHH!!! I'm so far behind on my (not so) Boring Bethoney videos! I have some catching up to do! I would call it more of a release from prison than escaping or running away. LOL I've been in NB for almost 4 weeks now, and am JUST starting to relax a little. I'm just waiting for the local well company to re-commission my well on the property, then I will be making the final move with everything. My property is only 3 minutes down the road from where I'm staying right now, so I'm not in a huge rush. Glad to see you're taking the time when the weather is so nice to get out and have some fun. I just read online that Atlantic Canada is supposed to have a long and warmer than average fall this year, so there should be LOTS of time for fun exploring in the best season of the year! Well, I'm off to watch your next video, so I'll stop typing here. I'll probably have more to comment about in your next videos.

Awww so sweet to say those things about me. I am so very blessed to have 2 daughters. There were times, particularly while I was disciplining the both of you, I would think "These kids are going to hate me!" It needed to be done. All I wanted was 2 strong, independent women who are kind to people and to give to those in need, and I accomplished that. Was it easy? Absolutely not! Is it worth it? It sure is! I am so proud of you and Shelley. You are both strong, independent women. Both of you stand up for the underdog, you are both giving, caring people who are passionate about the charitable organizations you work for and you are kind to others. That is all I wanted for the both of you. All those years of making you do chores, being a referee when the 2 of you were arguing, interviewing boys when you started dating, making you stick to curfews, supporting you with sports or plays. going to every play or baseball games. making you go to college. Whew! Makes me tired just thinking about it but it was totally worth it! I love you both so very much! xoxox I had an awesome time in Cape Breton!

That was always the worst part of going camping, the packing up and leaving. It was always a rude awakening that all the fun was over and reality was ripping me away again to continue it's torture. Now I'm just three weeks away from never having to leave my "camp ground" again. Believe me, I am definitely counting down the days. I am SO sick of just sitting here waiting to get going, and I will be so happy once I'm finally there with all my stuff. I will finally be able to say that it's all DONE, and that I made it. Then Oscar and I can cuddle up and relax, with our feet up (well his paws) and an ice cold Corona in hand....... I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Ok, see....now that "creepy" old shack you showed at the end would be PERFECT for the water wheel house I mentioned in the last video. I bet the owner of the land would let you take it apart and move it to your property in exchange for just having it cleaned up. You could even put a little generator on the water wheel to run some string lights around the sanctuary! I'm curious about the ram pump, and maybe you showed it and I missed it. How are you getting the water line across the road to your water shed without having everyone drive over it? Oh, hey. On other news, I got my house listed this week. I got an offer on the place yesterday for full asking price, which I have accepted!!!! Closing date is set for June 21st! Kudos to you and manfriend for all you have accomplished with hard work and a clear vision of what you want and how to accomplish it ! All the projects took a lot of work but made your little chunk of CB look better and better with each passing day !! I thought it interesting that manfriend made his own ram pump to get that lovely mountain water right to your home! You REALLY have beautiful views where you live! That stream.....I wouldn't be able to stop myself from doing SO many projects with it. Yes, ram pump for sure, but also a water wheel and even a micro hydro generator. I think a tiny shed with a 3 or 4 foot water wheel spinning on the side of it would be beautiful there. Use old barn board to build it, with a cedar shake roof. Then let it get a bit over grown, and mossy.... Urgh, it would be worthy of a picture to be turned into a puzzle! As for the graveyard comment.....I thought I was always a little strange for liking them myself. I have NO IDEA what it is, but I really enjoy driving, and walking through old graveyards and looking at all the oldest stones. Letting my mind wander thinking about what life must have been like for those people so many years ago. There's just something very relaxing and peaceful about being there and letting your imagination wander. I don't know, maybe I am a bit odd, but I enjoy it. (the graveyards and being odd LOL) I wouldn't have any problem living next to a graveyard either. At least I would never have to worry about noisy neighbors! HA! I found some channels on RUclips where people are restoring gravestones, and I just find that the coolest thing. Bringing back a piece of the past so people that passed hundreds of years ago can, in a small way, be remembered for a little while longer. Even if it's no more than just their name.

One years life changing experience edited down a 15 minute film that shows dreams can come true, trick is, nothing happens without effort! Such a great balance of effort and reward, simply outstanding Bethany! I truly hope I can realize my dream of touring the island on my bicycle, with every video you post my wanderlust increases, then I go sharpen knives at work and daydream ;) Congrats on everything you guys have achieved and thank you for sharing with all of us strangers!
