Misinformation and disinformation are tactics employed to sway individuals who may not take the time to conduct their own research. Such information fosters bias, which serves as a shortcut to shift people's viewpoints. For instance, consider the phrase "Orange man bad." If someone doesn't investigate the reasons behind this statement and repeatedly hears that he is bad, they may be led to believe it without question.

@@vicc5459I’m gonna sound like an asshole but what do you mean? Are you saying millions of liberals are purposely targeting minorities with misinformation?? This isn’t a political issue man, this is a guy who is trying to rake in followers by manipulating his audience. It’s a classic example of persuasion. The speaker is, in this case, using blacks and Latinos as the “Protagonist” to his story and claims that a shadowy group of people are somehow infiltrating the subconscious of minorities with misinformation. An example of this same tactic was and still is utilized by many extremist political leaders such as Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, etc. These extreme examples all created an us vs. them illusion amongst their followers and used that power to carry out their agenda for destruction. This guy is a perfect example of a kiss up and kick down person who has zero character. A Machiavelli in the making.

43:51 respect yall brothers but that is just false. it is a gross over generalization and oversimplification. But it sounds good and catchy so i get why everyone regurgitates it.

It's certainly a generalization, but isn't every discussion, to some degree, outside of academic study, which this is not? It may be more helpful to contextualize with Damon Young's original article. See here: www.theroot.com/straight-black-men-are-the-white-people-of-black-people-1814157214

I believe the money played apart but we can not negate the fact that Cori has been ineffective in her district. It blows me away when people assume that black voters are not aware of what their leaders are doing or not doing for them. Money controlled the volume of the messaging but the facts are the facts. What people are afraid to say is that Cori made herself a target! When her first priority should have been the constituents in her district. Effective Leadership requires balance! People elect you to get something Done not antagonize without results…

Thank you! I always say discovery and developing your eye are fundamental elements to becoming a collector. If you haven’t been doing this already, look up the museums and galleries in your area and start attending exhibitions. This will help you understand what you like, e.g., painting, sculpture, or photography. If you already know what you want to collect, start with local art schools at the collegiate or graduate level. Attend their open studios. This will allow you to begin buying work without needing to spend thousands of dollars. If you’ve mastered that, identify galleries that have programs that align with your collecting interests and thesis and reach out ahead of exhibitions that you want to buy work from and build a relationship. Hope that helps.

Mr Steels kept it real. He was one of the few black gop members who didnt just spew the same ol talking points. He actually showed how to get a piece of the pie and would routinly fight to get the party chairs to loosen the purse strings and support black initiatives and not just have a photo op and pat on the head. When he was the party chairman he did his job and won many seats for the gop and they fired him that same year after the elections. I would ask all black gop members to take a page out of his book and try to show us how to gain access to the bag that they (gop members) too often keep to themselves.

Tbf it comes with a compromise. All politics is compromise at its core which is why politicians by their nature have to be many things to many folks, in particular those with money 💰 who got them elected in the first place. But leveraging a portion of the electorate towards an issue that can benefit said electors is essential the game. It's not pretty and it's sure is messy but it can be done. And I'll add this wheeling and dealing usually is for a certain class of black folk, usually upper middle class and middle class. But it's empowerment to one end.

Admire both of these gentlemen, as a young AA Republican back in the late 80's and 90's, having the opportunity to have a chance discussion with Michael Steele many, many years ago, confirmed why I became a Republican, though today, that has changed drastically during the Obama years.
