Wow...I love u guys sing along with bap..great!!
cant wait for them to come back to london
I like how when Michael Ball let out his "my place is here, I fight with you", Frances and Samantha turned to each other as if saying "wow".
@seherrocks Very little chance his voice will improve much. Michael Ball was the original Marius and had a great voice then too.
@shylifter no hes not. cameron mackintosh doesnt think so, and hes more relevant than you are. he was fantastic if you listened with non biased ears.
@bluebelles255 course not, hes 18. michael ball has had decades of experience. just wait another 20 years, nicks voice well have improved as well
This is really awful =[
@maestredemagia, I believe Matt Lucas got the part of Thernadier as a favour from Cameron Macintosh.In my opinion he was nowhere near as right for the part as was Alun Armstrong.He just sounded like one of his 'Little Britain' characters.He's a funny man,but should just stick to comedy.
@thunderbirds1954 ,Well,I don't know,that's why I made the apology at the start of my comment.I didn't want to appear as if I was saying no other country could put on a show the way we Brits do! But it's difficult not to be biased sometimes! And I've only seen it live in London,so I can't compare it to other countries! It's just great that it does have universal appeal.
@popazz1 .....my place is here i fight with you...who else could possibly sing it...x x
@06s091 ...pooorrrr nick mustve shrivelled x
The only bad thing is I didnt see Phllip Quast who was the best Javert and my personal fav of them all.
YOU WERE THERE?!?!??! oh i am jellin so bad right now.
Love the whole performance! It's a pity Marius didn't show up until the last number though.
Gotta say it,& apologies to all the other countries who've performed Les Mis',but we Brits DO put on a magnificent show! I have no doubt all the other countries who've wowed with their performances made a great job of it.But I have to say thumbs up to the production of the 10th anniversary and 25th anniversary Les Mis'.
bros before hoes marius. :|
@STwilightPrincess Actually you heard Earl Carpenter as Javert =p
Colm and Phillip are the best. hands down.
yes, michael, colm, rebecca et all are all amazing...but i LOVE frances ruffelle here!
@hitch123456 LOL!!! So true!!!
@06s091 Also try the Dutch cast; best singers are Freek Bartels, Jamai Loman en Rene van Kooten search on: nog een dag uit les miserables nieuwe cast
thank god they got michael ball to sing, poor jonas, he isnt bad but he compared to the rest of the cast he doesnt have the theatrical talent. when he was walking on the stage he always looked lost
O M G ! ..... Michael Ball...
@maestredemagia agree. Alun has the accent. matt lucas seems plain
Did someone take notice of Thenardier? Alun Armstrong had done much better in the 10th anniversary
the fangirl in me is crying tears of joy!
@TwilightPanther No it is Earl Carpenter
I hear they're making a musical movie version. Oh god I hope they get it right!! I wish the Dream Cast could play their roles in the movie.... too bad theyre too old. :(
@bluebelles255 - He just doesn't have the power behind his voice or the stage presence that the other actors have.
@bluebelles255 That's awesome XD *cheers for Canadian homeboy*
@MadameChristie Yes. He was. Ramin Karimloo is Enjorlas.
Wait...was that Ramin Karimloo as Enjolras?!
@sunderlandgrl I was there and I sung my heart out (: Everyone around was going mental and they put the lyrics up on the screen for do you hear the people sing! :D xx
@Monkeyballmania They weren't singing along!? I would have been if I was there. I love Les Mis and I've memorized all the words. Lol. Bet the applause was loud though, in the cinema, we didn't really get the full atmosphere like it would have been in the O2.
@Monkeyballmania Did you go to see Mamma Mia when it first opened in cinema's? It was a bit like that, the atmosphere I mean, people were singing along and even got up and clapped after every song and at the end like Americans do in cinemas which was really strange. Lol.
25 years later, they still have it!!!! MARVELOUS!!!
@carys1985 what.
I saw this broadcasting live at my local Cinema :) Lol. I had tickets for months. It was amazing but I bet it was even better being there.
I am completely and utterly blown away. And jealous. ;)
OMG OMGGGGGG!!!!!!!! Michael Ball will always be my perfect Marius!! woohoo! ngl, I cried watching this.
@yellowsunflowers8 :D My sister, my friend Erin, and my self all heartly agree with you on Ramin. The minute he walked on stage, it was like Jonas who? (a big selling point here was that Nick Jonas was in it, though none of us cared) He was fantastic. I'd be lying if I said mild stalking ventures were not in play last night ;)
Did anyone let out a squeel when the original cast started singing? I sure know that my sister and I did. This took a superb experience and made in ten-fold better. To get to hear LIVE the cast that I grew up listening to on CD was enough to give me shivers :)
I love this play and book !
@NKHades007 Yep!
oh thats strange - i wonder why Alun Armstrong wasn't there in the afternoon - he was in the evening! Still, this is amazing stuff right here. Goosebumps down to my very bones.
